I am just wondering if there is such a wood blade, it will be a good balance blade between speed, power, and control.

Is there such a blade?

For reference, I know the Stiga Ebenholz NCT VII (7) is 6.1mm, I tried it and liked it, but it was too thick and heavy, i wish it was around 5.7mm thick.

There's the Nexy Lissom. Though it is really a 5-ply with a thin outer layer.

I've got a design for a 7-ply that comes in at 5.2-5.4. I won't be able to build and test it for a few months but if you'd like, I'll let you know how it turns out.

i have always thought about a thin 7 ply blade, which would make it much more suitable for loops with enough power and a balance for hitting. but so far nada...

I personally would highly recommend OSP Musko Pro OFF. Crazily fast 7 plied thin wood blade w/ massive & amazing control. I feel like playing w/a nice composite blade but with that familiar woody feeling. Then again, just a notch down would be that OSP Ultimate which I'd love to try/own 1 of these days hopefully in the near future......

tiehwen I have played with Ultimate for long time though I nowadays play with Musko, and I must say Ultimate is still a little bit slower, softer and yet faster and more flaxible and with more wood feeling than Musko.

You'll love it for sure since it's closer to Virtuoso than Musko.

Oh, I didn' noticed that. Actually, I have both penhold and shakehand version of this blade, and have just measured it: shakehand version is 6.9 mm, and penhold version is actually 6.1 mm. Why would they make different thicknes for penhold and shakehand? Confused

Donic Persson Powerplay is 5.8mm.. I think.
Stiga Hybrid Wood is not an all wood blade and usually at 95gr these days, but I have one at 83gr but I think that it is thicker than 5,8mm.

Timo Boll Spirit - The feel and control of an all wood blade with added speed thanks to the arylate-carbon layers. Thickness is only 5.7mm and it is great for the European looping style of play!

That must be some super blade which is "a little bit slower" but at the same time "yet faster" than Musko.

So is it slower or faster?

hah...u can't figure that 1 out? He just has a typo there, I believe he meant this:
Ultimate is still a little bit slower, softer than Musko and yet faster and more flexible and with more wood feeling than [Virtuoso/Virtuoso+]
