You AskedHi, I find the Forehand/Backhand Counter Hit easy for me, so I'm trying the Forehand Topspin. But, what allows you to swing fast and still keep the stroke on the table? Thanks.and Jeff said...Hi Ian, It is the topspin that will allow you to hit the ball fast and still keep it on the table. The topspin will cause the ball to dip downwards towards the table. The crucial part of generating topspin is the contact of the ball on the bat. The contact needs to be a fast brushing action to generate the topspin. Watch the Forehand Topspin video a number of times and try and get a good picture in your mind of how you should play the stroke. This will help you to learn the correct technique. |
