gnopgnipster, what is real difference in lichess rating and real (FIDE) rating? I'm 2100 on lichess and wonder how much is it in fide?

Well, obviously there's a big difference as standard Fide rating pertains to standard time controls, which are 90 minutes + 30 seconds to finish minimum. Lichess ratings are blitz or rapid, so they are more likely to represent a fide blitz rating. However, even there, Lichess ratings are normally roughly 100-200 elo higher due to various factors such as new players, disconnections etc On the other hand if you have a Lichess rating of 2100, it's safe to say that you are at least a strong blitz player and probably a good chess player in general. On Lichess, I myself revolve around 2100-2250 and my fide elo currently is 2043
