So,

You shouldn't ask for Tipps. But you can ask for some Blades, which you can't buy at the normal stores.

Like Diode, Biside or something.

So if I would like to get an old Butterfly blade that they don't sell anymore, then could I call them?

I think butterfly allow you to make custom blades... and I am positive if you mention the old blade. they can custom made one with exact same spec of their old blade for you.. but i think it only works in Butterfly's official japanese website

COOLIOLIS.

Cause I want a custom made Grubba Carbon with Offensive in FH and Anti Spin/LP in BH.

I was thinking to have the BH modified as Joo S.H blade BH and Kreanga Powerspin FH and Maze Passion FL handle

The customization is not that extenisive. This is a list of what you can do.
- Blades head shape
- Blade Material
- Grip Shape ( What the handle looks like)
- Grip Shape, choices of flared, anatomic, conical, straight, straight on inclined plane.
- Weight
- Backside Processing*
- Cost - 200 usd +, not including shipping
- Takes one month to make

*J-pen, C-pen only

I think Joo has one of the best forehand in the game. Once he get the chance to start firing them then most of the he wins the point.

Well it hasn't been confirmed YET, but he has possibly switched to Matsush*ta Alpha, Tenergy 64, and Feint Long III.

butterfly allows customised blades (特注ラケット) either with:
ZL carbon shake/pen 31.5K JPY
ZL fiber shake/pen 31.5K JPY
Arcylate carbon shake/pen 21K JPY
Arcylate shake/pen 21K JPY
Carbon shake/pen 21K JPY
Gouban shake/pen 18.9K JPY
Danban (1-ply) hinoki pen 36.75K JPY

These customised blades are hand made by butterfly staff (with the most popular one Chihara Satou who retired long ago, his famous work the penholder's vintage). A cert will be included with the craftsman's stamp (depending on where you ordered). Normally these blades use higher grade materials, therefore higher quality and better craftsmanship. Joo and Kim Kyung Ah are said to use the same custom 特注 blade. Chopping blades normally use柳, willow wood as the core.

Correct me if I am wrong on anything.

If you can point out me to some of his latest videos, I can tell from his strokes. I can probably agree with the forehand change, but not the blade or the backhand. There is no reason he has to change unless Tenergy 64 needs softer wood.

Why would he need softer wood? He plays very well already...

I'll see Joo SH this weekend. He's been playing in the Korean "Super League" lately. He plays for Samsung (along with Ryu Seung Min), and I'll hopefully get a photo of his paddle so we can set this straight! Smile

Other great defenders from Korea is Kim Kyung Ah and Park Mi Young, you can find their videos on youtube.

Ryu Seung Min -- Always great! I saw him two weeks ago, he's amazing. I'll try to post pictures soon. I don't watch him as much as Joo and the other Korean defenders. Park Mi Young is my favorite these days -- she's a younger Kim Kyung Ah.

I may visit Korea next year. Here are some of my pics with those guys.

I was so befriendly with Mr.Lee, the Korean coach. I think he has been asked to go and did not see at the Olympics. I had some good Korean biscuits that he has shared while we were chatting.
