I have the Nittaku Violin (the brother of Acoustic), I'm actually curious what's the real difference between the two? I think the Violin is a little bit slower

Nittaku Violin is slower, has more vibration, more solid feel than Acoustic. While Acoustic is faster, has plenty vibration, more crips feel than Violin.
The blade flexibilty acoustic is more flexible, feel softer and easier to loop heavy underspin ball because of longer dwell time. Violin is not so powerfull when play far away from table. It depends on rubbers too. If violin put with the newest tensor rubber, playing away from table is ok.
But using normal rubber on both blades, Acoustic is better for playing mid distance.
Acoustic suits Tenergy better than Violin. This is due to the hard sponge of the Tenergy. Putting Tenergy on Violin is playable, but looping underspin ball is not as easy as Acoustic.
Tenergy on Violin really feels hard, while Tenergy on Acoustic feels medium hard.
Tenergy on Acoustic is a looping machine Smile

Meh, I'm a player who drives the ball more than loop at any chance but sometimes I feel it is a little more difficult to loop heavy underspin even though I get the job done with raw power and stroke speed. Once the topspin rally goes then the Violin I think is really good.

Agreed with you in most of the points, but so far I still rather prefer Tenergys on my Violin, perhaps not as powerfull but much more controllable in short game. It worths a try on both blades, Tenergy will work fine in most of pure wood blade, but i prefer it with Violin Embarrassed

Cheers.

Nittaku Fastarc G1-FH

Stiga DNA Pro-S MAX BH

Avoid any Butterfly stuff... at abusive prices. Raw power without control means nothing
