Does anyone else upload drills they have created like this?
I created this to try to get myself to move into position to use my best shot more often, and get it to be more consistent. The shot I'm really trying to work on is when its hit to my FH (this drill is with topspin, with angle set for about 8), because if at all possible, I want to cause people to hit it over onto my FH side, weakly if possible, and I want to move into position to attack these with my FH smash/drive into the right corner (a right handed opponent's BH corner), even if the ball comes in bit over on my BH side. Once I get to where I can play this out consistently, I plan to practice returning that same smash/drive shot to the either corner or to the middle of the table, ie wherever its going to be difficult for my opponent to return it from.
Its a 12 ball drill, and I've spiced it up with a bunch of semi-random positioning and speed so that I am forced to adapt to what comes at me. My intent is to run it 4 times for 48 balls and count my misses. Hopefully the file will upload, etc so you can see/download/run it and comment on it. |
