Sorry if this question has been answered but I've noticed that all major tournaments played in recent years use white balls, is there a reason why orange balls are no longer used?

TV broadcasters do require white balls for a better visibility on the redish floors.
There is a specific study of a vantage color scheme on playing courts made by GERFLOOR engeneering group. Orange balls were found to be "vanishing" against redish flooring matts..

It would have been better for players first and then TV to pick the colors and not a floor company lol

They can't make the same type of floor in a different color?
