Dear Table tennis collectors / friends

I decided to show the most interesting pieces of my collection.
It is not going to be as big and informative as Magic_M's phantastic thread (  http://mytabletennis.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=69217&PN=1&title=i-am-proud-to-present" rel="nofollow - http://mytabletennis.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=69217&PN=1&title=i-am-proud-to-present ), but I try my best.

I plan a 9 day thread, every day show a new wood. Start from the less interesting ones to the most exciting woods.

Day 1:
9/1 : The European Champions

These are not really speical or super rare woods, but not easy to find them in perfect conditions.
Fortunatelly these paddles are in perfect condition, without any hair-crack or injury.
I bought all of them at auctions.

Woooooow, this Stellan S model has a very beautiful handle! I just noticed the "eye" from the back side, looking for the correct owner Big smile
And the handle of the Johansson left from Bengtsson in last picture looks like pretty large.
Cool items, congratulations!

Day 1:
9/2 : Hans Alser Mark V Sarajevo
A very rare wood from 1973.
This paddle released only 50 or 100 pieces for the World Table Tennis Championships in Sarajevo.
Not easy to find one, but the market value of this wood is not really high.

Really nice blade. I would be very interested, if this would be the Stellan Bengtsson version.

Day 3:
9/3 : Champion of Europe

The second edition of the famous Alser wood. I really like the big head of this racket. Maybe not ideal for today's game, but looks nice for a collection.

Day 4:
9/4 : First edition of Johansson

The first edition from the Johansson series. This is the pair of yesterday Alser’s.
One of my favourite wood and I am looking for the Bernhardt pair of it. :)

Day 5:
9/5 : Johansson with black sticker (Number: A34)

For me, it was an unknown blade, until Magic_M's article on the forum.
I would say it is very hard to find a piece where the sticker is in perfect condition.
Unfortunately one side of mine sticker is not perfect, but never mind this is a very rare blade.

Day 6:
9/6 : Mellis

One of the nicest looking wood, from the black letter series.

The red label looks really cool on this blade. Very rare if this red label is in perfect condition.
This is the earlier version of the green sticker Mellis.
A later edition exist, where the sticker is thinner, and Mr. Mellis has a little different face pattern (some rumors said that these are fakes, but it is obviously not true).

9/7 : Johansson Anniversary 1986

Almost everybody knows the Stiga anniversary series.
This A/B/C numbered woods are the rarest issues.
Very popular collector’s item.

Day 8:
9/8 : Marita Neidert
The precious gem of my black letter collection.
Special thanks to Oesthen, who sold me this rarity some years ago.
It is almost impossible to find Neidert wood in perfect condition like this.

Tomorrow comes the last (and most interesting) part of the series. Don't miss it! :)

Let's wait until tomorrow and everything will be revealed :)

Day 9:
9/9: Tova Stipancic

And the most expensive wood of my collection is the Tova Stipancic blade.
Only 2 pieces with rubber exist if I know correctly.
Luckily I have one with perfect condition, without any injury or hair-crack.
Special thanks to my Hungarian collector friend Peter Cseh, to obtain this wood.

Tomorrow comes a bonus picture :)

Day 10:
The Group

A lot of people asked me in PM, that if I have anything for sale.
I don't want to sell any wood, but the T-shirt Alser and the Johansson EC from this picture is open for trade.
I am looking for a serial numbered clipper wood (Alser, Johansson or Bengtsson).
So if you have it, and want to sell it of you are open for a trade, just send me a mail.
We will make a deal which is good for both party ;)

For some collectors, the question is about: rarity, condition of the stickers, quality and beauty of the outply veneer. I also prefer the blades (stiga or BTY) without original rubbers, that is a question of personal taste.

Yes, it is understandable. The problem is the dramatical value loss, and the rarity. E.g: A Neidert with rubber is more rare than without.

I can ensure you that the blade will not lose its value if it is without original rubbers, from my expérience, it is the opposite unless the outply is really ugly

How do you know that this Stipancic is a replica? Do you know the owner of the other blade?

Date Posted: 03/17/2019 at 10:23am
Hi,

You can see from the stickers. It is not 100 % same as the originals.
I don't know who sold it, but previously it was in Magic_m's collection:

http://mytabletennis.net/forum/i-am-proud-to-present_topic69217_page1.html" rel="nofollow - http://mytabletennis.net/forum/i-am-proud-to-present_topic69217_page1.html

And he correctly mention that it is a replica.

Posted By: Magic_M
Date Posted: 03/17/2019 at 2:13pm
yes, that's right. This Stipancic is a replica and it was mine originally.
When I sold it to the guy who offered it now for sale on ebay,
I CLEARLY told him SEVERAL TIMES that it is a replica.
So he DEFINITELY knows, that he offers a replica as original. Angry

He is active on TT News, the German forum, but only in the buy and sale section of this forum.
He buys blades and tries selling them back on ebay.de for ...+/-3 times the price he paid for.

Did he acknowledge that he sold a copy? (knowingly) (and forgot to tell you that..)

Also, I am no expert on ebay refund policy, but at least on Aliexpress, all not too honest sellers delay their refund for a lot of fake reasons until the time for official complaint is over and you cant file for a refund... so be careful and check ebay's refund policy!

Also, please keep updated how things are going on with the seller!

Hi guys,
Thanks for feeling for me.
Finally, I got my money back from the seller. It was a few emails back and forth with him. I have made a mistake in the process and I want to share it with you, so if you get to a similar situation hopefully you don't make the same what I did.
My mistake was, I was writing about my issue to eBay and PayPal at the same time. eBay is acting quicker then PayPal.
I was following eBay instructions by sending the seller the message, the seller has accepted the fact he missold me the product and he will pay my money back. Then, I sent the blade back after eBay instructed, the seller paid for the postage. PayPal has only send me a message back they are working on it and they will act on it in a weeks time. The blade has arrived to the seller, but he didn't paid my money back at the same time. There was a dead line in 5 days and if he is not paying it back eBay will step in, so I was thinking nothing can go wrong. Before the deadline finished eBay has rejected my appear because I have involved PayPal. I have reappeared, but it was rejected again for the same reason. I think eBay should of acting differently. The mistake here is PayPal taking a lot longer to act. So instead of days or a week to get my money back it taking weeks and weeks. I don't know if there is any punishment to the seller from Ebay. The seller finally sent my money back to me before PayPal would of taking action. So it is a happy ending.

I like them old Stiga Blades. I have a little collection, but I am missing a few of them that I really like to have.
If anybody has some old STIGA blades for sale, let me know. A Stipancic would be nice :) 1st and 2nd edition Alser and Johansson, the 1st edition Ehrlich and Harangozo.
