Edit: Ordered a Carbonado 45.

Can someone compare Carbonado 45 and HL5X?

I own the following blades now, but I am thinking of purchasing one of the above 2 for my birthday. Comparison with any of the below blades will also help. Price is not an issue. A blade which fills the gap between the below blades and not on the list is also OK.
I will be ordering from TT11, so any blade they stock should be good.

Old Viscaria 89g - Head heavy
Double Day Yaliant Zlc/Alc 87g, 89g -ZLC side too hard
Victas AFC 86g - Too slow, feels hollow for a slow blade
Xiom Azx 87g - Too fast, stiff
Xiom Vega Pro 76g - Too stiff, feels hollow, handle too small, head heavy
Sword Blue Feather 88g - Too hard for BH, too flexible
TB ZLF 86g - Too flexible, holds the ball too long with D05
ITC Fibertec Classic 84g, Bouncy, a bit fast.

Something with the speed a bit lower than Viscaria and a bit less head-heavy would be great. Something not too fast (more importantly not too bouncy), stiff, or thick, which loops and drives good.
I play a solid 2100.

I play with D05 and T64 as of now on a DD Yaliant ZLC/ALC. Will be using the same rubbers, if not D64 on the BH.

Thanks

WADR, How does a 2100 level player have so many issues/complaints with their equipment?

Have you tried Freitas ALC yet?

Have you considered using a 7-ply blade like the Tibhar Samsonov Force Pro Black Edition, or Andro Gauzy BL, or Andro Gauzy SL?

Seems like you already own best TT blade (Viscaria) so for your bday pre-order Dignics 09C Smile
If you like to try a nice blade I would suggest Amultart ZLC or Mizutani SZLC.

I find myself lacking power without a carbon. Also I drive more than Indoor on the FH, and the throw becomes a bit low for me without a solid carbon blade. That said, Few people here use that blade, I will give it a try.

I had a Mizutani ZLC and Carbonado 190 earlier, did not like both. Never had an Innerforce ZLC.
Butterfly blades are a bit overpriced...but I will add it to the list.

BTW, I also had a friend's BTY ZZ SZLC once and played with it for a month. A long time ago, so I don't remember that blade much. Maybe it was a bit hard for my half-ass strokes.

If a blade being head heavy is an issue for you, then I think HL5x will be a problem since it has a slightly larger head-size than Viscaria but also a slightly thinner FL handle-- so it would be more head heavy if you are using the same weight rubbers or heavier.  (i have 87g viscaria and 90g HL5x).  On harder strokes between these two blades with same rubbers the HL5x is faster.  On softer or medium-hard strokes Viscaria might feel a touch more direct/fast.

I don't know about the Carbonado 45 but the tigerlab test and other threads have it being slower than Viscaria or Boll ALC.

I use a very thin non-tacky 'tennis overgrip tape' just because i like the feel, but that would balance the weight distribution if you didn't mind using overgrip and increasing the overall weight.
