Have you ever wonder why the Tenergies are so difficult to play with? Why they aren't suitable for average players? When we where using for the first time Bryce, and we where using it heavily glued, why we didn't face this problem? For Tenergy 05 the answer is simple. 05 tries to create spin from its soft surface. And it manages to do that. But at the same time is vulnerable to oponent's spin with disasterous results in receiving services and in other parts of the game that need control of the incoming spin. That's the story and one of the downfall of Tenergy. The other one is the heavy weight. If Tenergy hasn't the Bty logo on it, 50% of its supporters will play with other rubbers. For sure. And please some of you don't say that Tenergy is a goord rubber because Boll or other contract players play with it. The be very good paid to play wih Tenergy. Noone knows if they have freedom of choose with which rubber they would play. |

EXACTLY!!! I'm so tired of hearing people saying we'll Timo or Wang Hao uses it, gees, they are freakin sponcered and paid huge ammounts of monney to play with it. At that level you could dominate with anything.

I don't care which logo it is and who does or doesnt use it. I think that is irrelevant and think apart from service return against a great server tenergy 05 is the best rubber ever made.
I continue to try any brand rubber and yes their lack of spin producing potential makes easier service return against great servers - but an average return to these great servers if they have other great sides to their game will make irrelevant.
tenergy 05 I think is actually the easiest of all the rubbers to play passively which is the opposite to what was said here earlier.
Take this for an example - someone sends you a huge loop - what is the easiest to get the ball back onto the table? a rubber which produces no spin or a rubber that produces spin?
It's a rubber that produces spin. You angle it and it pretty much loops it back. With short pimples on less spinny rubber youve got a lower straighter smaller spot to get it back on the table.
Yes It is made for active players and players are required to read incoming spin more but didnt we all used to cry about the ban of speed glue - the lack of spin and speed that we would play with? Then they produce our dream rubber and we still say its too expensive, too fast, too spinny. common I wish it was free but the reality is its more durable than any other euro esn rubber by far and out performs it too. So I am willing to pay extra for quality.
t64 is made to play away from the table if thats not where you play most the time then get rid of it.

I know Tenergy is more expensive than other rubbers, but I find it also lasts longer.
If it lasts 2 times as long as other rubbers, then divide the price by 2? hehe

I don't give a damn about "logos", and i don't care who plays with what. Until the glue ban I had no problem with Dawei and Milkyway rubbers. But after the ban Tenergy is not only the best alternative I found so far, it is also the only alternative I found, at least for my forehand. I think it outperforms every rubber out there on every aspect, including price (given it's great durablity).
Every other rubber I've tried so far is useless for serious competition, and I'm not a BTY fanboy, in fact until now I had not played with a single BTY product in my life. Having said that, I also think it is not a rubber for anyone, like Sriver used to be. You need some skills and fitness to be able to play with it. |
