there are many foreign players, and the coaches can speak english, and also we will be there the whole day to take care of the whole team and deal with their problems.

Here's a link (at the bottom) from my post of last year's trip to the training camp promoted here on Mytabletennis.net in Beijing.

Training was top notch, with an ex-national team coach and one of the top TT university programs in China.  Most players were top notch, from 13 year olds to 23 year olds at the camp. Only real complaint was the heat and no air in the gym, which exhausted me too quickly each day, some days it wasn't as bad.  My appetite increased quite a bit during training to keep up with the physical demand and the cafeteria food didn't do it. I ate out for more healthier, well rounded meals each day.

In my opinion, at  any level lower than 2200 USATT rating, it's not going to matter if you train at the National Training Center or with the Peking University team (who took 2nd and 1st place at the Stiga NA last year)... you'll benefit either way.

This year, a couple friends are traveling to the Grenzau training camp in Germany in a month for a session or two. One of the fellows, Philip Klimant attended 3 or 2 tournaments here and went home with a 2300+ USATT rating.  I'm hoping to go there within the year or early next year and also have my eye on training in China again as well. I cannot find training in the area i live and have to drive 1.5 hours to get any real coaching, which the coach's time is split between a few people each session and I can't do it on a consistent basis, I hope to figure something out soon.

Oh i should add, I'm not good enough to go to a local training center and qualified, so I have to search out and pay for it pretty well as most of us do. :)   I'm only about 1500 level i believe but still improving, I still don't play well under pressure sometimes and playing more tournaments should help that.  I really agree with Samson Dubina's philosophy to look at tournaments as places to get practice against higher level players.  Everyone should also support their local club nights and practice sessions too.

Ma Lin - Impressive

if i enrole, do i get to train with liqin, ma lin, wang hao and ma long?

If I remember correctly, Ms. Cao Qin, the former coach of the PKU team also studied TT there and is now a board member of the Founders TT Club, where one of the top pro Beijing teams, the Founders Team are managed and located.  I guess in a country where it's the National sport,  they probably have some in-depth programs in their schools at higher levels to support and manage such enterprises and sports business affairs. She is also an ITTF certified umpire and works the ITTF sanctioned tournaments in China.

Santa Monica City College in California also offers a class or two in table tennis, I heard. So it's out there. :)

If the price was cheaper on the Chinese National Training Center one, I'd probably go. But at that price it's more affordable to go to Germany to train for me. But it does look like a great facility and center, I could have used a hot tub/whirlpool at the last one after each hard day's training. ;)

I went from about 600 USATT rating to almost 900 USATT rating right after camp.  You can see it in my USATT rating and that was soon after the camp so no time to rest or decompress and I was ambitious... but now that the training has settled in and I've worked on my other weak spots in the game a little, I'm practicing and playing consistently against 1500 level players.  I think I'm going to hit a hard spot right around this level until the next training to work on other aspects of the game I lack in.
