I think that the demand will be quite high, but I doubt they will reach 100 pcs.   Probably if you can get order up to 50 pcs., you can re-negotiate with Tamasu.

Good luck.   I really appreciate your effort.

Sorry for not ordering, but I am an all-wood man....

I predict he would sell out the 100 in 1 year time. It would be interesting to watch.

I don't even think 100 is that many. I think he can get preorders for at least half of that, and the word will spread. Yes, it may take a couple of years to sell all 100, but in all honesty, you can't easily sell 100 of any blade in the world

The biggest question is the weight of the blade, and if you can guarantee that it will be in the range of say 87-93g, definitely I  interested to buy one.

And I thought all you people and lover of original Viscaria blades want a blade with same dimensions of original. These dimensions from nikolaygorbach are not the original dimensions of the loved ST handle ! . If that doesnt worry you you could buy any blade with ST handle but much cheaper.

These are the original dimensions:

handle wideness: 30,50 mm
handle thickness : 23,1 - 23,2 mm

The outcome was that it was about 50% more expensive to do the ST blades, so it died.

No, the outcome was that a few fans didn't know the exact ST handle dimensions of that original Viscaria blade so they were customizing the wrong handle dimensions on their blades.

Another thing is that if you don't specify a dimension and just tell Butterfly to build you a custom Viscaria with a ST handle, the handle they put on will not be at all like the original ST handle.  It is certainly more square.  I had them build me two back in late 2015 and ended up selling them at something of a loss very shortly thereafter (and then the guy who bought them out them on sale on ebay for about 500 euros each).

Do you know how customized can you get with BTY? Was thinking of asking a korbel with normal head dimension (157x150) but using either TBS FL handle size or MJ SZLC ST handle, since those 2 handles are my favourite dimensions for FL and ST

I am pretty sure they will build it however you want it.  Just make sure to be very very precise about what you want.  Assume nothing.  That was my mistake.  I assumed that when I asked for the Viscaria ST handle, they would put a handle that was actually the same as the original Viscaria ST!  They did not do that.

My solution to that issue has been the Ovtcharov True Carbon ST.  I really really like mine.

You mean the Ovtcharov True Carbon ST blade as a whole or just its ST grip?

The whole thing.  Plays like a slightly faster Viscaria with a round ST handle.  There is thread on that blade in which I commented a lot, and I wrote a review about it over at TT Daily.  There is information on its weight and head size and thickness.

Basically it plays like a Butterfly ALC blade, and it is as good as any Btfly ALC I have used (and I have been playing with Viscaria since 2007).

My one concern is that I have two of them, and one is quite a bit better than the other, which I attribute mainly to weight.

Viscaria blades are no longer available in ST handle, FL only. However if you are looking for something similar in ST then Timo Boll Spirit and ALC are close.
A version of Hurricane 3
A version of Tenergy
A Stiga blade...
