Hey everyone!
I was wondering... has Zhang Yining retired? I know she got married recently... but her ITTF Activity says only 18 matches since December 2008. Also, she didn t compete in the Tournament of Champions. I really hope Zhang doesn t leave the table!

Right now, even the national team can t say one way or another, so she has not decided.

What is she waiting for?

My guess : Because her husband is much older than her, I think their priority now is to make a baby.

If they are successful soon, then most likely she will stay home during prenancy and take care of the baby afterward.      In that case, it may be quite a while before she can train again.       I am afraid we have seen the last of her competitive play in this scenario.         A big loss, but it will be a great story for some one who has  accomplished so much to retire at their peak.

Thanks God she s off the table - this is a Chinese woman who cheated during 2009 Chinese National Game calling a 1-foot "Out" an edge ball, and avoided a "lose-face" loss to Liu Siwen.

Since then, I got rid of two of my Zhang Yining ZLC blades, giving out to friends for free, including one limited edition blade I imported from Shanghai for $400 plus dollars.
Why? I despise morally imcompetent Chinese players, now including Zhang Yining, who dumped many men to finally marry a "rich" 50-year-old broker who prey on Chinese government investment - in another word, laundrying corruption money for Chinese officials...

Don t return to table tennis please, cheater!

I don t think any major male or female player (like top 7 or 8) in the Chinese National team uses Tenergy or any Euro/Jap rubber on the FH. If there s one I d like to know who that is.

According to the BTY catalog and some other magazine she does.

A hell lot of Chinese National team players are using Tenergy now. For one, Liu Shiwen just signed up with Butterfly and she uses T64 on both side.

That s interesting. I thought the stroke is a little different with a tacky Chinese rubber and a gripy Jap/euro rubber. What about the men s side? Is ZJK using Tenergy both sides now?

its possible to use chinese stroke with Tenergy, Xplode, even Express 1.  you will just need to adjust to the throw.

Yeah I know... Zhang is a wonderful player!
I m also interested, does anyone have the video when Zhang cheated against Liu Shiwen?
P.S. I heard Liu Shiwen is using Innerforce ZLF with Tenergy 64 on both sides. Is this true? Please confirm. :D
