there isn't much room between tables n also behind the players n spectators..It seems 2 me that players were playing in CONFINED areas..or is it just the pics. deceiving me??? Bridgeport club of Richmond, Vancouver area is the best!

You are right not enough space between tables and there is no barrier between tables. Could help but sometimes we don't get all.

Talking about space, it all depends how many tables you need to put. The whole space is 8,500 sq. ft. For holding a tournament this big and leaving space for spectators too, this is not big enough for 20 tables, untill Q-finals which we can take away some tables. Practicing is OK for putting 20 tables, though. Talking about the best or not, it depends on all the facilities too, lighting, floor ..... BTW, the next big tournament (May 5th and 6th) will be expected holding at CNE, which can fit 2,000 spectators.
