every company has different ways of categoring blades and how fast or slow they r.

the japanese brand BUTTERFLY has this system

DEF ALL+ ALL- ALL OFF- OFF OFF+

where as other brands uses numbers for speed control etc, however, control is based on ur skill level, what rubbers u use, and in time i guess the control factor will be better once u get used to a raquet.

generally blades with carbon tend to be stiff, therefore catapulting the ball witha  good rebound effect, quick and powerful, but bad on the short game [these r generalisations, and companies r coming up with all this hybrid sh*t to compensate for this material etc].

I'm not really a beginner. It's just that I've never heard this terms before.

from slow to fast

def-  the slowest rating
def
def+
all-
all
all+
off-
off
off+  the fastest rating

Note:  all means "all round" = good for the player who likes to do everything like defending and attacking, topspinning, smashing, blocking, choping, pushing etc...

If you do not know what you need it means probably that you want an all round paddle.

Sriver L rubber with 2.1 thick sponge on both sides.

Good luck to you.

dont be fooled that off+ or Off+++ really means the fastsest thing in thr world. be aware of their marketing ploys to grab ur wallet.

my FANCY DIPPER lol, is Off+1, but its speed is that  of a good offensive classic.
