Oh, cmon - don't exaggerate... it's just a video clip, not a life-changing event, really. I just split the file and posted it on MU.

Anyway, enjoy!

Quite a few chinese spectators. Not what I'd expect from a tournament in belarussia.

Well the Chinese support their men and women. ALSO! Xu Xin went from unranked to #3 in U-18 rankings!

I mean that I would've not expected to see chinese supporters especially in Belarus. Belarus is AFAIK not the premier destination for (economic) migrants, especially chinese. Chinese TT tourists would hardly fly over to a lesser important tournament just to see this dood playing, right?

I just finished download and watched the video (Thanks Jimmy), in this game Xu Xin is lack of experience ( in front of very experienced player Samsonov) and a little bit lack of luck.

But he had the skill & fundamental, after Olympic I predict there will be some Chinese veteran player going to retire, this will be the time young chap like Xu Xin's turn to perform

Wang Liqin and Ma Lin are number 1 and 2 respectively in number of Pro Tour titles. Not sure about Samsonov.

Wang Liqin won 20 ProTour tournaments and 3 ProTour Finals, Ma Lin - 19 and two Finals, Samsonov - 18 and 1 Final. So they are pretty close...

At least that's what ITTF stat pages tell us. However, i wouldn't be surprised if they missed something - for instance, Samsonov's win in Belarus Open 2008 is not there yet... but his results in the last two weeks are there... go figure...
