I'm going to get ST handle Violin if it's available in my local TT shop, but it only increase 1 for Violin. Where are other Violin users?? |

Update: I got an Acoustic ST and it�s fine, but I�d rather prefer Violin much more, it�s got less power but much more control.

The basic differences" 1. Acoustic is easier to loop, faster, has more dwell time, crispier feel than Violin.
2. Violin is More Solid feel, Slower, less Dwell time, Better in smashing than Acoustic, Has More vibration, better control than Acoustic.
Both are very good blades, why don't you try them both?

One other question. I've seen ppl recommending hurricane 3 as a good rubber for this blade. I'm an aggresive close to the table player. do you think that would be a good setup? any other rubbers you think i should try on it?

Yes H3 is suitable for Acoustic.
There are plenty of H3 rubber available in the Market.
DHS Commercial H3, H3 Provincial 20 and 19 sponge, H3 Commercial 19 Sponge.
If you choose old H3 Commercial, you must use speed glue.
If you choose new 19 sponge or H3 Provincial, not need to glue.
Tenergy is also suitable, medium-hard rubber is suitable for Acoustic.
Soft rubber like Sriver Fx feel to soft on Acoustic.

So I haven't been able to find an online store that has the acoustic Fl handle in stock. If I'm used to the Fl handle would the St. handle be really uncomfortable or do you think I'd just get used to it pretty quick? I don't want to drop 130+ dollars on something thats not comfortable. Does anyone know of a store that has the Fl handle in stock?

The first time I want to buy Acoustic, I also want to buy FL handle. But the FL handle is too Slim. I must put extra grip to make it bigger. Later I bought the ST handle which is much bigger and better. But if you have small hand, the FL handle is ok. If you have big hands then ST handle is a better choice. Have you tried iru-iru?

No I haven't. really the only blade I've played with in the past year is a donic persson powerplay senso v1. Its pretty comfortable. But I have no idea how it compares the majority of the market as far as the handle size. the people in my club don't have a stockpile of equipment either so basically my only info on equipment is what i get from reading online. Next weekend we're are traveling to take some lessons for a day and I'll be able to ask the pro about some things but we don't do that very often.
