Some Chinese players get paid to use certain blades on certain tournaments! I don't think they are EJs. A PRO player usually stays on a certain blade. Kreanga fixes a certain blade in case of damage. I know the guy who fixes Kreanga's blade and he told me that. |

No ALC layers in WLQ's "TBS blade".I think this is not Butterfly blade.BH rubber is not red tenergy sponge(maybe is steel Hammond Pro-Beta).
Xu Xin use red tenergy sponge for BH(and old H3 FH???) Ma Lin with old Skyline 2 ??? Edited by Zo k - 08/24/2010 at 7:24pm |

EVERY chinese player's rubbers are tuned. That's why they use the old topsheet, because they are DESIGNED to be tuned, and can withstand the tension. While with stuff like the NEO topsheet, I guess they would have doubts. You can see the bulge in their rubbers, which are stretched A LOT. However, an interesting note is that it seems more like only the MEN seem to tune. You don't see any stretched rubbers on the Women's blades.

glad somebody realised: Well I got it from http://prott.cc/ under the special rubbers section. At first, even though the website claims that it is pro version, I didn't believe it at first. Many, including me before I used the rubber, thought they
were all the same and there was no difference. But then I tried a ‘off-the-shelf’
Tenergy and the ‘pro version’ tenergy on each side and REALLY felt the
difference. You can check ProTT under the special rubbers section and you’ll
see. |

Well from this batch of pictures, it is interesting to note that Ding Ning, Li XX and Guo Yue seem to use the same blade - ebenholz.

I don't know for sure, but if I was going to bet on this and survey the top 300 ranked male players in the world, I would bet it would be Boll ALC at this point in time. |

You mean Zhang Jike? He's been using Viscaria. Looks like most of the Chinese players using either Stiga or Butterfly (except Ma Lin and Wang Hao). I think Ma Long has been using Timo Boll Spirit. And all of their forehand rubbers are DHS rubbers (I would think they are either Hurricane III or II). We, the mortal players, can buy those blades but to get a piece of Chinese Hurricane rubber national version seems like a tough task but we can always try the commercial or buying more expensive Euro/Jap rubbers such as Tenergy, Hexer+, etc... To me, I'm good with a TBS or TB ALC and Hurricane III . If I have enough money, Yasaka Pryde is the one that I'm going to buy. FireHorse |
