Absolutely. And that may be the reason why I am not an EJ but a VisJ

Not to get into a pissing contest but would you be so enamoured if the Viscaria was never played by ZJK? It's a nice nlade and all but I didn't find it all special

So little time, so much EJing to do

Please check my answer to a similar comment/question some posts above. I don´t care about any pro player who uses or used the Viscaria. By the way the blade was released in 1993 so in my honest opinion it is not necessary to merge it with players like Z.J. Of course it is ok if you don´t find it special

Ava and Sophia are really beautiful blades, just the way I like them from the looks.

That MJ is BTY's poster child. What a beauty! Blade of choice of Mie Skov (Denmark #1). The ST version is scarce in the USA. I will find one somewhere at some price. |

When I see those skinny thin FL handles I understand why all Butterfly Viscaria junkies slavering and lamenting on rare ST version.

Amen brother. BTY, Nittaku make handles for little girls and really old people who can't see the end of the table. I just found a 25 year old Stiga Allround Alser (FL) that is beefy as hell and feels devine. |

What can I say, some players like wimpy handles...some don't. The BTY ST T.B. ALC is an exception. Timo likes that one. The last decent size FL handle made by BTY was the H.S. Cryser.
As an after thought I will send my thicker version Alser ( there was 2 variations in this handle) to Ross to make me a keeper. Edited by frogger - 03/22/2014 at 4:04pm |

fatt,
thanks for the hint! I guess I didn´t name it as it is a new version/silver badge Vis, so not a "classic lady" (yet)...

Butterfly Viscaria ST, 87g (Bettie P. 2nd) from 1st series 1993/96 Previously an old Viscaria F L. Now with handmade ST handle that has the dimensions of a Maze ST/Mizutani ST. The original lense has been worked in into the new handle plate. Edited by Dean - 09/01/2017 at 12:41pm |

just wondering: for the viscaria ST - could you request either thumb notch finish? (one is straight across, one is rounded out on the right side)
and is there a reason why both were available? :)
