While not a strong player, I studied this issue. All young pros use grip 731, which makes BH loops/flicks/counters easier (that's true even for me). 618 is only seen among older players (Fang Bo, Bastian Steger, Ovidiu Ionescu, Timo Boll).

I went with 618 nevertheless to increase my FH power. By now (two years later) I am practicing changing the grip when changing sides, with some success.
Right hand: Stiga Allround NCT (74g) /Rasant Grip max/Talon OX red (total 135g)
Left hand, 2020-1: Stiga Allround WRB (67g)/Fastarc G-1 1.8mm/V11 > Extra max 158g

Either.  Which one feels more comfortable and natural to you?  Also it is not uncommon for players to switch grip slightly between FH and BH.

if you predict where the ball is going you can change into a stronger grip/position for a stronger ball. if i do a weak push i except them to hit it to the middle. if i do a extremely heavy push i expect a weak push back, or slow spinny topspin and i move feet and grip.
