Hello. I have 2x Tenergy 64 + Timo Boll Forte. I seek help someone to enlighten me what is the actual problem, I sense it is that cheap blade but you will tell me. Also you can recommend not cheap blade directly if this is the problem. Most of times when I hit the ball, if you can understand me I hear the sound on my paddle something like *Pank* (I don't know :)) it is cohesive sound, like it does 1 job and it does it good. I feel control I feel the hit stable. But sometimes I hear sound something like *pooink* it is more like loose sound, like it doesn't do the job 100% or it does more than 1 job(1 or more unneeded), the control I feel is less. Is it vibration? I try to hit harder and maybe it prevents that problem, but I want to eliminate it. I do not know how to explain it better than this, I am sorry. Can someone help me understand what is the problem and how to remove it, new blade?, what stats on the blade should I look for? I will even buy expensive one if I have to. I do not want to feel that thing, it makes me feel helpless on the point when this *pooink* sound appears. I tried to reglue it, different glues. Last time it was reglued by my trainer. To be honest, when he did it, at first 1-2 trainings this went away, but appeared again. Edit. P.S. if someone recommend a blade, I think I want one with better control than Timo Boll Forte.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

I think you might just prefer a different blade. Maybe a Butterfly Korbel. The Japanese Korbel has more speed and the European Korbel has more control

From your description, it's likely you felt the difference between hitting inside the sweetspot (minimum vibration) and outside of it.
Get a stiffer blade, especially one with composite fiber such as ALC, which has less difference when impact is made across different locations on the blade head. |

Thank you for your replies.
Thank you for explaining zeio, I think I need exactly that, which is stiffer blade. There's one more thing, I think I need more control than my current one, can you propose some blades? I prefer butterfly ones, but would check out other brands too. I am trying to understand the difference in the magnitude of stiffness/control etc for example in this website http://https://revspin.net/blade/butterfly-jun-mizutani.html Timo Boll ForteSpeed 8.4 Control 8.2 Stiffness 5.3 Average Hardness 5.6 Medium Jun MizutaniSpeed 9.5 Control 8.9 Stiffness 6.0 Stiff Hardness 6.7 Medium hard Is Stiffness from 5.3 to 6.0 much difference? I am not sure. What do you think? Also about the control I feel I need, from 8.2 to 8.9. Would Mizutani be better choice in the direction I am seeking? I looked at the both Korbel, if I read the situation right, they are not that stiff so I will probably skip them. random good blades: Butterfly ViscariaSpeed 9.0 Control 8.8 Stiffness 5.2 Average - This is less than Timo Boll Forte Hardness 5.6 Medium Timo Boll SpiritSpeed 8.5 Control 8.6 Stiffness 5.5 Average - a bit more than Forte Hardness 6.0 Medium hard Edited by Chavdar - 02/04/2023 at 4:29am |
