Wow, is that a custom Virtuoso? I have one that is very similar if not the same. Its handle is made of rosewood and for me, its SQST handle is the most comfortable ST handle I have found so far. I will provide a few photos of it tomorrow.

well it looks like Virtuoso but it is faster. Different layer thickness, for example the second one is thicker, the outer limba is harder and the weight is 95gr ,so it has a lot of power in it.

Show us your Palatinus blade!

Bahhhh ......You rock, bro! Highest I tried to play was about 210 grams.
I could handle weight about 200 grams today, but...
For 227 grams I will need to do more fitness. Big smile
Are you weightlifter? Cool

Yeah you are right, this is an absolute beast. I'm used to play with a racket in the range of 200g, my other setup weight 194g. I tried to play one friendly tournament with a racket that weights 202g and at the end of the day I was really exhausted. Unfortunately I'm not a weightlifter Ermm
I hope that I will have enough power to win a 3rd ball attack Shocked

How can a set-up be that heavy? Did you put the handle caps off and put some nails in it?
Lets say each rubber is 60g cut (= 120g), which would be enormous by the way, plus several layers of glue (maybe 7-8g), it would mean that the blade itself weighs about 100g!!! Can you elaborate a bit more on what makes your set-up so heavy?
My heaviest set-up ever was 205g if I remember correctly and I couldn't play with it; particularly the bh side was difficult.

I think that this huge weight derives from various factors.
The blade itself (Nittaku Ma Long carbon) weights 98g, plus the edge tape and the glue probably has reached 100g. The forehand rubber is a nittaku hurricane 3 pro turbo blue, this is the heaviest rubber commercially available: 91g uncut!!
The backhand rubber is a victas V>15 exra that weights 73g uncut. Another relevant factor is that the head dimensions of the blade are bigger than standard butterfly blades. For instance a standard butterfly blade is 150x157mm this one is 152x161. Given that the head is bigger the rubber results heavier.

Wow, very interesting. 91g is indeed ultra-heavy for an uncut rubber. Thank you for the explanation. Good luck to you (and your wrist). Stay healthy..

I would like to refresh this topic a bit and show you my little collection ;)

From left to right:
1. Double pips setup
Blade: Palio S4 - around 90g - was a cpen, I extended handle a bit
FH: Yinhe Pluto 1,5mm
BH Globe Mo Wang 3 - big pips, treated with sun

2. "Legal" pips setup
Yinhe Mercury Y-13 - 90g
FH: 999 999t - nice cheap rubber
BH: 61second Artist OX

3. "Illegal" pips setup
Blade: XVT Balsa Carbon 10mm  - 60g - sooo light
FH: Palio Hadou 40+ - I just love that sponge colour
BH: Dr Neubauer Super Block OX - I still can't belive, that 6 months ago I bought new for just 10 $...

4. Chinese setup #1
Blade: Stiga Energy Wood - around 85g
FH: Yinhe Big Dipper - that colour...
BH: Yinhe Mercury 2 Medium - 5$ for this kind of performance? Not complaining ;)

5. Chinese setup #2
Blade: Butterfly Grubba ALL+ Japan - around 82g - great blade (bought for 45 $ ;) )
FH: Xushaofa 999 LSZ Purple - amazing rubber, it costed 10 $, such a shame, that it's now gone...
BH: Yinhe Mercury 2 Medium

6. European setup
Blade: Timo Boll Spark - 94g - one of previous owners cut a bit of handle to play cpen, other one extended handle for shakehand, bought in great shape for 50 $ long time ago ;)
FH: Donic Baracuda - probably the best rubber ever for me
BH: Yinhe Mercury 2 Medium

Coming soon: Jpen Yinhe J-1 ;)

Greetings ;)

I've been playing with this for two years now. It felt heavy at first but after a month or so it really didn't feel so outrageous anymore. The only real difficulty I had was serving and doing flips against serves, but that worked itself out within a month.

Two more Smile

A poor man's viscaria (Yinhe V-14 Pro)

I'll put Hadou 40+ and Mars2 on it.
And speaking of Mars2, I guess that Yinhe concluded that "Provincial Team" sticker on a 8$ (3,5$ in bulk) rubber does not look funny enough, so they decided to go with "National Team" one Tongue

And 1-ply Jpen beauty (Yinhe J1 Jpen)
