Hello,
I'm looking for feedback from people that have used both XP and XT. Is there a big difference between their playing performance? Is there any noticeable differences between the two rubbers? (tackiness, topsheet flexibility, pip design, sponge hardness)
I've tried XP on my Stiga Kevlar and Clipper, and it seems quite a bit faster, and has a lower throw angle, than the Focus III that I'm currently using. I was hoping XT might be somewhere between Focus III and XP for speed and throw-angle.
Thanks,
~stiga21~

XT is the tacky version of XP. I've played with both.

you could be right.
XT is slower, a bit softer and with higher throw than XP, but i dont think that throw of XP could be considered as low or medium, it is rather high. But focus 3 has higher, i agree. |

I would say that XT is somewhat tackier - tackiness on both will wear off relatively fast/ It is slower only due to the tackiness I think - because sticky rubber grabs the ball a bit more and slows it down, but it is therefore a little better when you play right off the bounce or if you want more grip on slow loops.
Both are very light, soft and reliable. I would recommend Pro XP as an allround or OFF- rubber to anyone who needs a cheaper alternative to Sriver FX. |

There's barely any difference, even in tackiness.

I have played with both, used XT first and recently switched to XP (The silver/gold dragon versions).
The XT is definitely tackier, but I really like the XP better, as it handles returns of spinny serves better than the XT.

Yeah, their pretty light, but the control on the LKT XP/XTs are a little low, I feel that there isn't enough persuasion in the ball when hitting/looping/chopping/pushing with both rubber. I remember using these guys back when I was in the 1000-1250 USA ratings. Moved onto more effective rubbers.
