I was looking for others opinions on the flat handle backside that is on some jpen blades, like on the Ryu Seung Min signature blades and the Xiom blades? What is the advantage of this? Is this a passing fad or has it caught on with other big-name users of jpen, other than Ryu Seung Min?
Thanks, ~stiga21~ |

I personally don't find it necessary to shave/get rid of that backside part of the cork handle, it just doesn't bother me at all. Some people might find the sharp (sharp? nah!) edges of the tiny pc. of cork annoying & has to be shaved off. I just lightly sanded the edges smooth.
By getting rid of the back cork might just help others play better or loop better just like RSM? I really doubt it. |

Looks like he found the cork to be unnecessary |

This is a korean penhold thing.
I have seen a lot of korean guys play with no cork on the backside
