I love my Rendler and i am a non-combo player.

Mine is a OFF Version both sides. It looks like the top layer on your blade are different.

Beech on one side, what's the outer side?
These are super light blades but sometimes fragile.

I have put super glue on the edge to harden and prevent dings.
So how's it play?

Still in "admire" mode. Did not play yet with it, but planning over a weekend if time presume. BH side is slower and FH side is ALL+ rated, that is why different color of wood. What wood was added, I am not sure to be honest. Love the feel and look, but I think for some reason quality is there (craftsmanship) at 95% but NOT 100% like we see in Ross Leidy or Blades by Charlie blades

I have had a Dr N Titan, which is made by Rendler.  The craftmanship was far from 100%.  It looked like the blade was made by hand tool only.  The face of the blade was still rough and had fibre sticking out.  I had to sand it before I put any rubbers on.  Blade was definitely not sealed nor finished with any kind of treatment so I had to seal it with poly-U.  These are all fine with me since I am not into how good a blade looks.  The blade worked perfectly as it was advertised.  The only problem was its fragility.  One little kiss on the table and fragments of the blade would fly out. Now I know why Dr N sells those thick side tapes.

That is very common for balsa blades and it is the tradeoff for being so light.

I have a friend up north who also has a Rendler, He has his beat up on the edges something terrible.

Since i make blades, i fixed his with superglue on the edges....works great.

I've been using them for several years now...haven't broken one yet.

BTW All the Re-Impact blades come pre-sealed now. Still I tend to add an extra layer of polyurethane myself. Foam edge tape is a good idea for sure.

what's the difference between a Left hand and Right hand model? I thought blades are made like "unisex" but for hands... LOL

It's not the handle that's different (apart from the grooves), it's the performance of the blade. Read about the Re-Impact technology here.

Palio CK531A OX works great with this blade. Just great. I am NOT a chopper, but all round player, and trying so many long pips in last 6 months, I think that Palio CK531A is a winner. This blade preform excellent in many ascpects !
