oh. oops.
I thought they were all JSpeed 90s - too lazy to type the J. I did know that the jpen version came in 9 and 10mm though...

Silvalis, I believe single ply hinoki C-pen from Darker has 8,5 mm thickness (and it is called "J-Speed 90 CHN") compared to the J-Pen "Speed 90" which is available in 9 mm and also 10 mm.

Is your Violin RJPen a square or round one? I was wondering if it has the same blade shape as the regular JPen (sqaure or round). Just wanted to get a rough idea whether is feasible for reusing/interchanging rubbers cut for other JPens.

Mine is rounded. If you can stand seeing rubbers which are too short or too big, then it should be more or less ok, but I like to see it neat, so each of my blade has its own rubber. Luckily I am not the one who likes to experiment with rubbers.
Length of wood part is 138 mm, and the width is 139 mm.
Cork sheet between handle and wood part is 18 mm, so total length excluding the handle is 156 mm.
Same situation for backhand side, because this is a reverse J-pen, so backhand and forehand side are identical.

Nice blade. Look at the regular growth rings on the side. I especially like the handle which gives the "wood" looking, not like Butterfly's handles with unnatural colours that I don't like.

Thanks for the information on the blade measurements.

I think 75 grams for penhold is light enough, although if you are willing to wait a bit more, Michinao can get a few grams lighter. My Borko is 73 grams, and my Violin is 72 grams. I have never tried below 72 grams, but my feeling is that below 70 grams could be too light and lacks power.
