    Posted: 11/26/2006 at 7:35pm
Hi,

Can anyone recommend a blade with balsa core, ayous and limba. Dr. Neubauer's High Technology and old model Knetic has these compositions. However, they are too bulky and thick. Can anyone has any suggestions?

Regards

I know my Andro Blax has a balsa core with ayous veneers but I don't know what the outer plies are made of exactly.

Hi Servio,

Thanks for your reply. I know u are using Andro Blax now, how is your feel about it in terms of BH chop, push, block, loop and hit. Any vibration and how is the control? I am using Long pimple in my BH. I do a lot of mid/far distance chop against loop and I hit with BH LP. I also loop and hit with FH. I am tossing whether I should go for Andro Blax All+, Blax Off, Andro J.M Saive Kinetic Off-, Saive Kinetic Off or even Butterfly Blasa Carbo X5 Off.

Thanks
Stephen

well I think I can say Blax all+ is just too slow.
with blax off u wouldn't do for long distance either with slower rubbers like mine. (if I get away from the table more than 2 meter its hard to loop it properly back)
I have no idea how it is for chopping as I don't ever chop hehe, its a very very nice blade for blocking and smashing, its quitte nice for looping and pushing is ok but nothing special.
the control on this blade I find very good, the vibration is less as it is with heavier rubbers but nevertheless its still noticeble (which I like).
good luck with making your decision.

try Gewo Powersystem 6.5 or TSP Balsa 6.5.
Both balsa core + glasfibre and koto? outerply.

Sounds like the friendship ayous hinoki might be along those lines. Only instead of limba they use hinoki as the 2nd ply.
Wavestone St with Illumina 1.9r, defender1.7b

Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

I've just bought Hallmark Carbon Extreme-a unique combination of balsa, carbon, abachi and limba.Mine is 70g!!!Fast,dynamic,with a lot of feeling. Amazing control. I am impressed.
This is my best discovery so far.(I own KC, Iolite and a Tube Carbo,)
Highly recomended
