What do you guys think about Stiga Celero blade? I know this is not as exciting as SZLC hehe.

I guess I am interested to understand where is it among other Stiga blades? Does it feel like Stiga? I haven't had any Stiga experience yet. Briefly tried Clipper but hated it immediately (at that time I was playing Hinoki, so maybe contrast was too much).

I tried it recently and it felt nothing like Clipper. From the first minute I totally loved the feeling of a ball impact. Comparing to other woods I tried, this one has resonated with me. It just something I felt built to my taste. But I know nothing more about it and having hard time finding first hand reviews.

So just curious.

Stiga celero has the following composition:  limba - burnt limba - ayous - burnt limba - limba, so it is pretty similar to Primorac Off- or Korbel, but with the burnt wood in between.   If I am wrong about the type of burnt wood, it could be either limba or ayous.

Speed wise, it is in between Primorac Off- and Korbel.   It is slower than Infinity VPS though.

Control is excellent as it is not too fast.   Feeling is sharper than Primorac or Korbel because of the burnt wood.

Basically it is an Off- blade which can be used for allround offensive play.   If you are looking for all out offensive blade, look for something else.

Stiga is well known for bad craftmanship, but for recent blades (including Celero), Celero looks nice and has metal tag on the handle.   It is rather smooth compared to old stigas, but still you need to sandpaper it a bit.

I liked it so much that I bought one for myself. No regrets at all. Parked my ALC for now, and will be playing Celero until February or longer.

I still don't know is second layer made of limba or something else. There is no information on Stiga website. Why did you decide it is limba? Due to harder second layer it feels crisp. I also have Primorac Off-, which I am trying to sell. Celero is definitely slower but plays and feels heaps better. Stiga did something right to this model. I just came back from training, after winning so many games, feels so good.

Go Celero!

Celero is made for hard rubbers. Strong spin, perfect control, weak blocks, requiring me to fight back when blocking (this is exactly I wanted to slow down leaving ALC - to get rid of habits to play passively, instead, I want to promote attacking power game. With ALC I had to hold back some force, otherwise ball was going long)
