Any one tried this one? from Zeropong it is just 5 bucks, seems too good to be true. Is it decent? How is the performance comparing with other 729 products?
Thanks, |

Yeah, it's pretty decent. It's the fxel topsheet over the yellow sponge of the lkt xp/xt. Heck of a deal for $5.

cole,
i need some advise: i'm tired of paying thru the nose at places like paddlepalace and tt pioneers for european equipment and so, i'm wondering, could you suggest a chinese lightweight combination? i understand that lkt xt and xp are examples of chinese lightweight rubbers. any others?? and what about lightweight chinese blades (meaning less than 80 g, in shakehand and penhold)?? i'm looking for something offensive or offensive +. no allrounds, please. i'm currently playing with a very fast setup: the hunter inferno blade (69 g) with either nittaku pro alpha or joola air rosnet (lightweight rubber). so, i'm wondering if you (or anyone else out there) know of something chinese of comparable weight and performance (speed, spin, control, etc.), that hopefully won't hit me for nearly as much money!! |

Probably that black diamond is the closest match to your hunter. Its' a thicker balsa core which I'm assuming that hunter must be as well at that weight. The rubber that best matches up would be inspirit and saviga but not as light as rossnet. Maybe you might look at something lighter on the bh like palio C topsheet on saviga sponge. |

The Lightning rubber is very light. A guy at my club has it on a ALL blade with Ecolo ExpanderII and it's very slow. The spin is pretty incredible but the throw is so high it's hard to get the ball down.

I got 2 sheets of Lightening just to try. It will spin but is one of the slowest rubbers I ever tried. I put it on a Off- bat and a guy tried it. He did so well that he bought it.
Before that he was using a carbon/ary with Hammond that he had me build. I told him I thought it was out of his league but he insisted. He would be rated about 1100. Now he is a believer in control and doing much better. |

Cole,
Thanks for the comment. Do you think the rubber need speed glue to perform well, since the sponse is xp/xt which I heard need speed glue to perform well. Thanks, |

Well, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt. I can put some other rubbers together for that price as well if you want to email me for some different options.

Yea, I tried those lightning super fx. Got rid of them after one round. Too soft sponge, ball hits the blade when you try to loop. Pretty much useless.
