Do you mean how you should play as a lefthander?

Often lefthanders stand far to the right so they can use their forehand all over the table.

Forehand sidespin serve from the backhand side to the righthandes opponents forehand is effective.

classic tactics between left handers and righties assuming orthodox fh attackers, are that the LEftie tries to get 'general direction of play' to be from his bh corner wide of righties forehand. So it helps if:
he has good bh
he has good fh from bh corner.
good serves wide to the fh
The idea is that leftie takes the control of the game from rightie by playing to where rightie may drive but does not control so well. Rightie will feel exposed by the hole left down his bh.

Leftie should know that righties tactics are the same, so the match often develops into a 3rd ball fest across the fh and down the bh by both players

So for most modern players the comfort zone is when they are controlling the game from the bh side of the table playing bhs and fhs. Lefties by playing from the wrong side upset righties game

A short sidespin serve in the fh of a righthanded is effective.
Also I often use the forehand Side-Top-spin. That is very effectice because, after the ball touches the table, he flys in the wide backhand of the righthanded opponent. It is difficult, for the "rightie" to counter that ball in an active way ... a bh counter topspin need a very good timing an footwork.

I hope could help you ...

Serving to the righty's forehand works well, you can also go down the line to their backhand, but be sure then to cover the wide angle to your forehand.

I find that when receiving serves I need to stand more toward the center of the table than when two righty's play each other.  Most serves tend to go to my forehand, which is also nice to set up my forehand against their backhand.

When I get a serve to my backhand I like to step around and I open up wide to the righty's forehand and I then aim for the body or for their backhand side.  Sometime I will punch block with my backahnd down the line and then pounce on a weak return cross court to my forehand.

I especially like when I put pressure on righty players as they will tend to block or lob instinctively back to my forehand where I can follow up.

Here's some good serve and attack strategies for lefty loopers: http://tabletennis.about.com/od/competitiveplay/a/left_serve_tips.htm
