Hello!

Iļæ½m new at this website, and I want to know how to make a more spinnier forehand loop.

I know this is hard to explain to me. If you even can explain it. But anyhow. I think I use my forehand topspin correctly. With my forearm, wrist, waist, legs and etc..

But do you know some training, to gain more spin in my topspins?

Dont get mad if you think this question is silly. I know it is a silly question...

It's not a silly question at all,you may be using a LOT of arm movement when looping, what I mean is your whole arm ala Wang Liqin,it's hard with that technique to get great spin but you can generate a lot more speed with that technique. If you watch Boll it's a MUCH shorter faster stroke with a LOT of wrist.

Am I right in saying you use a big swing rather than short swing?

If so and you want a lot more spin you just may have to change your style and rubbers etc,as I think Hurricane rubbers are better with a big swing although I could be wrong I don't use it YET

Hai alfie!

Thanks for the comment.

Yes, I think I use the big swing. Mabey I should try to change it. I dont think I am going to change my hurricane rubber. They are to good to change!

But Thank you very much!

I know a lot of coaches who are really into shadow strokes. Start off doing them slowly in front of a mirror to make sure everything looks right with your form. Don't backswing too far or cross your body on the followthrough. I'm told that kids will do 500-1000 at a time, and that you can tell what you're doing wrong based on what part of your body tires out first if you can't do that many.

Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

good advice, and maybe study some pro player with similar body size and style to keep in mind when you practice the stroke - as long as you are not a clone!

Well, it is very difficult to explain about forehand loop. I had same problem as you. I did everything correct, but my loop gained not much spin. The main thing is contact with the ball. It should be very thin, like no sound of hitting the ball. Then you know that your loop is not fast but spinny. But only thing I can tell you is to practise. Repeat, repeat and repeat same movement and you would not feel when you loop is going to be real loop. Good luck
