Luckily JC do not have an administrator password in this forum. JC is a real trouble maker, always picking up fight with others.  Look at the list below written by himself

Me vs Alfie re: me being a idiot ( Alfie won )
Me vs adam re robonazis ( i won ) - i think? ...he went away in the end
Me vs Kenn part 1 re: kenn being a idiot ( I won )
Me vs sprite ( me being a hypocryte ) ( sprite won )
Me vs kenn part 2 ( see part 1 ) ( silent hunter won )

maybe I can add, JC vs mcuba. Who knows there may be more.

Anyway lets get back to the video. I have not given my comments.

Firstly the most obvious mistake you make is your footwork, it is not firm and like many others has mentioned, right foot should not be infront for your forehand shots

You do have some movement with your body but not very smooth, movement should have a purpose, you dont move your body because you are asked to. For some shots you can stand firm.

I think the whole problem here is your stance and your footwork.

JC, you are the loser... not anyone else. You cant even have a decent arguement without resorting to...

1. Using admistrator previlage to change the other persons posting so that the other person looks bad.

failing that,

2. you use administrator previlage to ban the person you are arguing with

failing that,

3. you get the Website owner to ban the person

failing to do that,

4. you get the ISP to ban the person

failing to do that,

5. you plant fake information with the adminstrative previlage into the other persons posting and get the ISP to terminate the other persons internet account

... I wonder what else you will do, to "win"

hahaha... did you actually win that way ? you can only win when you can proof what you said is right and what the other person said is wrong and not using authority to shut the other person up and claim victory.

i win becouse

1: i dont have admin pribilage

2: i DONT HAVE admin privilage

3: the website owner can do what ever he wants...he pays the bills....your just visiting his site

4: The ISP has a policy you have to agree to when you sign up with them. A aprt of it is, dont abuse news groups, if your banned, please dont return etc etc etc. after a while, it becomes abuse.

5: please enlighten me to what information i have planet.

PS: hows that unglued bryce going? Are you still undefeated?

Me vs kenn part 2 ( see part 1 ) ( silent hunter won )

I will correct that, I didn't win. I just said some things that shouldn't have been said and *JC* had had enough of people attacking him for doing his job and left. At which point I got a drubbing from most of the others. So I definately didn't win .

As for why they shouldn't have been said, well that was because it wasn't *JC* vs Kenn but Dennis vs Kenn. I have to apologise to *JC* for that.

Now he has lost faith in forums. He posts what ever comes into his head and doesn't care. And if he is really annoyed he offends everyone( harsh maybe but not many would have seen the humour in your post above ). Mostly because it doesn't matter to him anymore.

Psychoanalysis out .

Oh, and mcuba mostly your coments are good but the one on this guys game was unnecessarily rude.

Another thing I can't use Youtube for some reason, ahhgg .

Thanks for that silence.
Imho - you win big respect for PMing me and saying what you did after the DTTW thing. For that, i hold nothing against you.

i just have a generate dislike for mcuba and kenn.

Somethings, i say...i dont really mean....but i say them in the hope they will somehow offend certain people.

Your Psychoanalysis is pretty good actually.

"Mostly because it doesn't matter to him anymore. " spot on the money.

Varghesep
watched yr vid.
fh from fh corner not balanced standing on one leg weight not being transfered from back foot to front foot
practice fh from bh corner to bh corner. Its easier to get the weight transfer right.
Learn the Falkenberg drill
Bh block should be simple the racket should face where ball is going.
My suggestions:
You will be a strong player one day. Right now give up the lp for at least year and learn proper blocking and pushing with normal rubber both sides. In particular your pushing with backspin needs work.
Learn the strokes with a coach before you mess with rubbers. Also dont worry about winning /losing to 1500 players. You have to learn strokes first and competition though fun can get in the way.
Answering some of your questions:-
2. I weigh 220 lbs, is the weight contributing a problem to my stroke and footwork?
Obviously being lighter is easier and you'll never move like Kong. But I have seen heavier guys than you who are good choppers. You need to control the ball and make the other guy move and your weight will not be an issue.

3. How can I make the shots low?
Topspin shots should be high so that the bounce near the end of the table
Your table play: receiving backspin is too high because of your bad stroke bh and fh. That is why I advise use normal both sides for at least a year. Learn to return backspin with backspin over the table. Make sure the racket follows the ball and the racket path should be horizontal a long as you are hitting the ball.First Practice bh to bh pushing long so that yr shot bounces within 4 inches of end. When you can do 200 without error then practice playing short and long with bh and fh. This is simple but Essential! Notice how high the ball needs to be to bounce near the end line. A good long push needs to be higher than you think. Short pusshing needs to be lower

4. Is my grip correct at Forehand? I think it is semi open.
Your grip looks tight and designed for forehand topspin or bh chop. Between shots try to hold it in between and just change angle with soft pressure from index finger or thumb

5. How can I improve my serves?
A can of balls is a great idea.
try this:
from bh just touch the ball low just over the net with a little backspin. After you perfect this from same action try to produce fast flat to bh. Two simple serves that give the idea:
Think of your serves always giving 3 problems to opp:
length
direction
spin
While he worries about one problem you give him another.
to do this you need to develop subtle touch and tactical sense.
Avoid big complicated service movement. Sometimes you will miss, and anyway strong players will read your stroke. A small quick surprising service that looks the same but always changes spin, direction, length will be very useful. You should never miss your service, so your practice with that can of balls is going to help a lot.
Remember 'Easy for me, difficult for my opponent' is the heart of racket sport tactics.
However tt will only be Easy for you if you learn proper technique.
Bear in mind that pushes and blocks enable you to control the ball and therefore yr opponent, so you need to get these perfect!
I USE TACKIFIRE DRIVE ON THE FH and LONG PIMPLES ON THE BH. THE BLADE IS JOO SE HYUK BUTTERFLY.

I recommend replace the lp with tackiness chop 1.7mm for one year at least.
If you dont want to do that get a second bat with normal rubber to learn the proper technique both sides
of yr body.
If i still ran a class (I dont, 15 years was enough)I would insist that you use a normal bat to learn good technique, in my class.
All the good lp players I know were players who had very good bh with normal before changing.
The bad lp guys are the ones with bad technique that they try to hide with the lp
As you are learing as an adult it is much tougher than for a junior who can learn really fast.
However I am sure that your success in the end will depend on yr character not the equipment!
Sorry for the long post and harsh comments, but i am impressed by your effort and determination!
Good luck

Sorry for the late reply. I want to thank all you guys for the contribution. I really appreciate PingPong daddy's contribution.

Recently I changed my BH from long pimples to Butterfly Chop. I'm more agreesive than before because I'm confident of hitting from BH, which was impossible for me before because of the long pimples.

Anyone who puts video of themselves on here (with this crowd) has BIG balls in my book. I also think a coach will help you alot. The problem you might have is finding a coach that has experience with long-pips. If you plain on being a away-from-the-table chopper, practice, practice and more practice. With your robot and at the club. Find the stroke that works for you then try something else. You want to be able to chop long and short with the same motion while keeping the ball about 1 to 5 inches above the net. Anything higher and it will be comeing back very fast. Chopping is not easy at all with the amount of top-spin they are putting on the ball these days. Plan on loseing alot at first but hang in there. You will get better. Not overnight, but you will get there.

depending on your game, if you want to play as a mid-far distance chopper with occasion counterattacks, switching to a smooth rubber from LP is NOT a good idea.

The idea is to learn good basic technique,
chopping,
hitting,
blocking,
pushing,
on the bh
THEN only Then choose whether to be an lp or sp defender
its about getting a good foundation

LP and smooth rubber are totally different in terms of spin, speed, and feel. Why not build the foundation on LP to begin with? Varghesep switched to Tackiness-C because it was the easy way to take, not because his idea was to build a good foundation. As I quote "I'm more agreesive than before because I'm confident of hitting from BH, which was impossible for me before because of the long pimples."

Depends on your expectations too tho. If you just wanna have some fun in your club, then lp, sp, inverted, whatever, choose anything for chopping. I'm just saying that an inverted rubber will be too susceptible to spin and lack spin reversal for effective chopping at higher levels. So why not find a coach and build your chopping foundations.

As pingpongdaddy suggested, I feel I have to improve my shots before going with pimples. It was a mistake from my side to go to LP before correcting my shots.
