I wasn't surely an EJ. I was only searching for a blade that feels comfortable, familiar and safe for me. I was looking for a blade which I were confident that it would fit me well for a long time. I think the Virtuoso-L is that blade i was looking for.

Thanks to all forum members for sharing their experience. They have guided my attention to OSP blades. Handshake

Virtuoso L (UTCAN 103mm) member now!  Rubbers will be glued today and tested in a few more days.  Can't wait to see how this compares to the Expert test blade I was fortunate to try.  Rakza 7 regular 2.0 will be used, as was on the Expert.

Hello guy's, i like this clan-idea for osp blade owners. I have been ej-ing for over almost 25 years, played with everything that was in my hands, blades and rubbers, and now at the end of my career i've decided(after discovering your very entertaining and informative discussions) to buy my last paddle,or as i say in dutch-slang "plankie". I've decided to go for an Expert with flared/fh handle. It looks like my first stiga alser in 1976, so for me the circle is round. I even go back to "normal rubbers", after this pair is worn, rakza soft /max fh /1,8 bh. Does any of you guys have experience with this combo, Expert + classic rubbers.? Or even with lovely cheap....(  i'm dutch)...chinese stuff e.g. friendship/dipper/hurricane etc etc.
My play is close to table ,lot of fh ,less bh varying between first ball attack to gentle rallying/placing/blocking.
offensive-minded allrounder. Sometimes bit to tired, i,m 52 years, with recovering knee injury, hence my changing in play-gears.
Btw, i,ve signed a statement to my wife that this is my last blade and maximum 4 rubbers a year, with the exception of breaking. Feels good, helps me to stop thinking about all these infinite possibilities.Wink

@mepper59

Welcome to the forum & also to "our Clan" where all like-minded, dedicated, OSP aficionados, diehards or/& whatever we call ourselves, meet & chat.
You've been EJ'ing for 25 yrs? Nah...that's not that long at all. Some of us here have been doing that for eternity. My OSP V/V+, however, reminded me of my old Stiga AR Classic UTC An. handle & O sweetness, that's 1 hella merry go around & o yes, I actually slapped on cheapie Joola tango FH & BW2 BH & this combo just seems to do whatever I want it to play.
You're 52 y/o? Nah...man, you still have many, many yrs left to play & no one here is too old to learn/try new things provided you've the passion & desire to do "them".
Why the Hxll did you sign anyth'n in front of your Lady to limit your opportunities to further your EJ'ing journey? I''ll never do so & I let my lady buy as many "knock-off" Chinese made handbags as she wanted..Ouch, that wasn't a wise move for me in fact.

Greetings from Canada.Hug

It's funny you should mention your first Stiga Alser back in 1976; as I bought my first bat in 1976 too. It was a Stiga Offensive Wood, with a Hans Alser handle and fitted with 1.5mm Mark V rubbers. I learnt to play the game with that bat.

That bat is long gone and these days I have two Experts, both with anatomical handles. One of them is in the TT bag, with 2mm 47.5% Macro Era on it; whilst the other is awaiting rubbers.

The other Palatinus blade I have in the TT bag is the sn452; which is a custom made blade, that plays similar to a TBS, but with a much better feel and thus better for the short game. It is well matched with 2.1mm Tenergy 05.

Hai. Peter, nice to hear from another old stiga  fan. Due to a rather peculiar mix-up i am now the proud owner of a virtuoso M/fl instead of an expert. I,ve played three times with it, has a wonderful feel in the short game, and more than enough power for me further away when attacking. I,ve changed the rubbers  and now i am playing with rakzaPO/1,8 fh and markv gps1.5 bh. The maxrakza was to fast for me It is a nice feel ,hitting with these pimpels out, a lot of acceleration I like hitting more than spinning. The backhand  will be tomorrow night first, so i,m very curious.Blocking/hitting and some looping/pushing, control is my backhand All and all i,m very satisfied with the gears and the clear feel  of the blade , Have to play more to discover the fine tuning, takes time.

After 8 months of using the Virtuoso I'm still highly satisfied with it. I've just ordered my 3rd one with a little customized handle. I think it will become a long lasting relationship. Heart

Hello guy's , after playing with my Virtuoso for several weeks i,ve decided to go back to my stiga nct allround. So iam no longer a member of this clan. The virtuoso was to fast for me . If someone needs an other virtuoso-m /flared(little bit sanded at the wing for smoothness) , make me an offer  and it will come to you .

I recently ordered an Expert with slightly smaller head size (Virtuoso L size...159x150)  and a Sq/St handle that is 103x30 x24.  Cant wait to see how it plays compared to the stock one I tried with the Sq/St handle.

Hi there,

Good FanClub...nice to read your posts here!!! ...this club should have been done by me Big smile
Some of you guys read my test/posts.

My story seemed an everlasting in EJing tour with blades, rubbers after glue ban!
I've played at the beginning with Banda allround, Tsp Allround,Primorac xxs  and finally with Kjell johannson old stiga blade both with sriver fx and GPS fresh glued...that was so cool!!
but after everythig changed.....I don't know how many baldes did I try...but more than 50 and rubbers? I haven't got a bloody clue......btw bryce speed fx was good for so long.

And once I met my friend Laszlo and I shocked from his bat....that was a palatinus custommade....after 2 not sufficient CM blade got the first Expert and after Virtuoso that was fisrt hitting love Smile..... than I found Tenergy for best pair on it..... ohh how beauty combo is this .....

I am in that fortune that I could test all of OSP blades....and I played with virtuoso L almost 2 years just from the beginning....  and my technique improved a lot because of this blade (and not EJing anymore)
Than once after some talk and meeting with Robert he gave me a test blade which was similar to Tibor Klampar's next one.....it was very nice but little bit too much for me....so I told "I want that blade just little bit more flex and less speed"....so Robert developed the Virtuoso+ Hug

....since then V+ is my main blade and I still love it!!Now I use it with a pair of fine tuned T05FX Thumbs Up

Enjoy Your Life, Enjoy Your Game...Play with OSP Wink
