Nice pics. Hey Jeffrey, maybe your mug broke the cameral lens. I've done that a few times. I'll settle for watching one of your vids from this tourney. Still wish I could have been there with you all.

Wish I had video of it. I wish I had the video of my match vs the 2100 I beat. One of the best matches I've played.

However, our teammate Asif's wife had a camera there and got some video. He is going to send me the DVD, so hopefully there is some good action in there for yall to see!

They are dead serves (no spin with slow push).  It makes their opponent think it's an underspin.  That's what I see...

That Li Hu guy look like a former CNT junior player. Few years back a guy named Li HU won the World Junior championship. For those of you saw him play, does he stand out as the better player?

I went frame by frame, looks like 1st one is no spin and second one is a topspin.
I used wrong words. I knew what those serves were AFTER watching it popped up. I don't know how to make it so neat and I'm pretty sure I can't return them safe/read them in real game.

Looked at his first two serves. They both looked like well disguised float/light bottomspin. His motion and fake followthrough are very smooth. The opponent looked like he thought both were medium to medium heavy chop and opend racked/swung slightly upwards, resulting in the easy ball and error.

I've seen Bogeyhunter serve both live and on videos. Bogeyhunter is real smooth in service motion and followthrough, especially making a fake topspin followthrough. I don't remember him disguising a float this well. The guy in the vid sells it so well. His racket is almost parellel (full open) to the table and appears to move forward. All signs point to medium or medium heavy spin at full speed, but when you look at it over and over again, you can see how he does it and WISH to be able to do that live even half as effective. Bogeyhunter, JKC, and others have put out a lot of vids that helped me up my service game. This vid makes me want to work and up it more.

Yes great serves, understading them on a vid is one thing  but they still look hard to pick.  Mind you I thought the other player had a couple of good serves as well , he just didnt use them as much

From the videos, he looks like a better player than mytte. And he did win the world juniors in 2003.

IMHO, both are reverse pendulum side/sidetop serves.. The flight and the curve of the ball is a giveaway. The first one the other guy push it to his BH, high to be smashed the second one the other guy tries to flick it to the FH side but he misread the heavy spin.
His opponent seems to not know how to serves short though.. Big%20smile

His opponent is John Leach, a former USA Cadet and Junior national team member who is usually right around 2400.

Why most of those players are Chinese? Mainly migrated from China? Looks like the world table tennis players are really represented by Chinese.
