That YE with red short pips looks like fun! Although I'd love to use a faster racket than YE if i'm just gonna smash my way around though.
On a different note, wonder how that would do for RPB? |

Yeah, I think the 802-40 is really fast, so I first put it on my "slower" cpen. I also have Ma Lin Carbon and Yinhe V4 (ZLC). I have a feeling the 802-40 may just be fine on my YE, as I used 802 on it ages ago. RPB - do you mean, RPB with short pips? |

Yes Toxic 3 and OX pips is a very good hardbat combo. I'm just love the way it plays. I will have to also try 802-40.

the 0.6mm sponge should be great for confusing chops and counters. Toxic 3 is great for hardbat too, plays like the Hock 3-ply blade.

I'm sure that will work too. But then again, you get different styles of "backhand styles" RPB loop/drive, or block, or chop with SP, less spin, and more punches. I twiddle, I can try it out and let you know lol Edited by ZApenholder - 11/10/2013 at 1:02pm |

Hi, ZApenholder
Is the sponge of 802-40 Chinese sponge or Japanese sponge? Do you think Japanese sponge can make the top-sheet faster or slower? And I want to get a pen hold blade (FH: 802-40 with japanese sponge, BH some smooth rubber for RPB attack/looping) right now, my FH/BH ratio for scoring is like 60/40. my choices are ma Lin max carbon, YE, YEO (both YE and YEO are older yasaka blades, not the ma Lin YE or YEO ) or stiga all around oversize WRB( inside of handle is filled with wood glue to balance out weight distribution), do you have any recommendations? I owned very few blades before, so I have no ideas on how those blades perform with short pips. Most reviews of those blades were paired with smooth rubbers on both sides, so... Any help from other members is also appreciated! |

The 802-40 is an all Chinese rubber/sponge combination.

You can buy top sheets and match them with sponges. www.colestt.com has a good combination of sponges.
