I would like to make this thread, following the M. Maze Clan, Violin or Acoustic Clan. To see which blades has more users. I've owned first version of H-King and Latest H-king. The first version weight 86 gr, Latest version weight 90 gr, both FL. Hoping to get the ST version in the future.
The first version is not factory sealed, I must sealed it with polyurethane.
It feels softer than the new version, longer dwell time, so it's easier to loop than the latest version.
The new version comes with factory sealed, no need to seal anymore. Feels harder, faster, less dwell time than the first version.
The handle of the first version is smaller than the latest version.
The gold plate logo in the first version is tagged with two piece of nails, while the latest version is tagged without nails, deep inside the handle.

I'm getting one really soon!!! Its a new one though.
are we all gonna have the little bold tag in our signatures " Member of the DHS-HK Clan". We should make it a cool color like red or something, to represent the blood of our enemies. lol.
I'm gonna be getting H2 and H3 #21 sponge provincial. I hear that's a popular choice for FH rubber, So I'll let you know how it works.

| I know that a lot of people also use a sriver variant on their BH w/ the HK. I'm gonna give Sriver FX a try first, since it's what I'm using now and I like it for the most part. It's got more ball feeling I think. |

Sriver FX on Bh of H-king feels to soft n mushy. I've tried it. If you want harder rubber, Bryce is suitable on BH. I've made a big mistake with my HK though... when i found out that the outer surface splintered ,I sealed it more than 5 times with polyurethane

Try to get the new one then
, It doesn't splinter, but it feels harder than the first version which splinter. The new version's wood surface is smoother than first version. i have a 07 King & 08 King. like what peter has mentioned. 07 is softer than 08.
both of my H.King are flare & serial no starts with the ' I ' letter. i also tot its prob for International
mkt while the ' C ' serial is for China mkt.
i find Bryce a bit too firm for the BH while Bryce FX is abt there. i also suggest Narucross EX soft from Nittaku.
i have tried it on my fren's blade & liked it beri much. intend to buy one to put on my other King blade

 I've never used bryce or bryce fx, or any kind of bryce for that matter. All my BH rubbers have been: focus III, sriver FX, Tackifire Sp. Soft. I think focus III might be a little faster than sriver fx, and I hated TFSP, but how much faster is bryce or bryce FX than sriver FX? I've used EL, but I think FX has more feeling which is what i like. Is bryce fx the same comparison to normal bryce? thanks. |

its wierd. my Hurricane King has that yellow curv on the other side. yours is on the right side of the handle, mine is on the left side.

I test my Globe 999 kong version about 2 week, feel same china rubber but more spin and good control.
And sponge is blue ,i'd like it.

hey guys. I just have to say, that i've finally found something satisfying, affordable, and something im going to stick with for a while.
on my HK FH i have H3 prov. #21 (blue sponge) and i use the DHS #1 intensifier and #15 glue. This rubber is a monster. I've already reviewed it a little. But on the BH, i put 729 Higher 3- which loops like a dream. Just after a few hits with it, i was sold. Its the perfect hardness for my taste, and its fast enough. My BH loops had so much topspin my friend just dropped his jaw and was like "dude i cant return that, soo much spin"
So i just thought i'd mention, Higher 3 on the HK BH- works amazing. Little heavy, but plays beautiful.

Hmmm, which version is your H-king? is it the older model?

hi, can someone of u guys, compare the HK vs the TBS?, i have a tbs, and i like it, but i have to admit.....im so curious about the HK, that im thinking in get one... lol can u compare both blades in terms of feeling?, hardness?, speed?, dwell time?, sweet spot?.... weight? I really like My H-king ST rather than the FL. Although it's heavier than my FL setup due to bigger head size, I feels more solid holding it.
The H-king ST that I get this time indeed faster than Acoustic.
So if somebody says H-king is faster than Acoustic, I agree with his statement.
The ST handle is much more comfortable to grip than the ST handle I've tried so far, big enough for my Big hand.
I prefer using ST handle so that I can change direction of my loop either straight or cross table easier.
H3 Provincial 41 deg on H-king ST really rocks. After playing with Haifu Whale II for a while, then go back H3P, I can loop easier than Whale II.
H3P is a more forgiving rubber than Whale II. Sometimes I'm in out of position, I can still loop back which I feel more difficult if I'm using Whale II.
Whale II is faster with less spin, but H3P 41 deg is quite fast too. I've tried 40 deg before on H-king, I feel 41 deg suits better than 40 deg on H-king.
About Zeta, it's a very good back hand rubber. Compared to Roxon 450, Zeta is a bit harder, slower, but my back hand loop is more spinny and land inside the table more ofter than using roxon 450.
Roxon 450 has better block return speed than zeta.
Zeta is very good in smashing compared to roxon 450, it feels more solid, roxon feels a bit mushy.
I can counter loop better with Zeta rather than Roxon 450.
I was thinking of buying another roxon 450 if my rubber worn out. But after trying Zeta, I'll stick to zeta since it's a lot cheaper than roxon 450.

Hey guys! I am a recent addition to the clan - HK C07 ST, 90 grams. So far I tried Whale 38 degree on the forehand, IQ UL 40 degree on the backhand. Those work just fine. I will be trying some other rubbers in the near future. Peter are you doing anything tuning with with the H3P, or just playing it as it comes out of the package? And is this comparison with Whale II tuned, or untuned? thanks! |

I just glue the H3P with 2 layers of rubber cement. I don't tune it or speed glue it. After playing 3 games, the rubber started to break in.
Before I play, I wipped the rubber with sponge and plain water to get rid of the tackiness.
So far I've compared it with Whale II untuned.
I found more dwell time using H3P, I can loop better with H3P.

If you can pick, try to bounce the ball on blade. If it's stiffer then it's better for smashing. If it's not so stiff, better for looping.
My FL weight 90 gr which has smaller head size than my ST which weight 91 gr. The difference is my FL feels a bit harder, while the ST softer.
I can loop better with ST version. If you want to get softer feel of FL version, get the weight around 86 gr.

Where can you get one that light weight? I personally knew a TT player has his HK blade weight ~ 84gr. Could it be because he modify the blade? |

I bought Beeray and Chronos HK through my fiancee who's well connected in the industry and hand picks everything for me, but this time around I only have 3 more hours to buy the HK before everyone closes for Chinese New Years. The only HK I can get my hands onto is in a local shop (I'm paying a big premium for it). Normally I'd get it through distributors or directly from DHS, but everyone is already off for the holidays. Should I just wait for 1 1/2 months and get a choose from a better selection or pay the premium and get my hands onto a 89g HK now? 89 gr is fine. My older H-king is 86 gr which has smaller handle than the the newer version. My newer version is 90 gr which I think the weight shift to the handle. count me in. i have two C07 and one I06. all penhold. the I06 has a larger handle and larger blade face than the C07s. The number on my two C07 are in a sequence too. ------------- CL+H3+64 |

I'll be getting the New HK as soon as i gots the skrilla.
After my short stint with SP.. going back to inverted I have much more control over the ball. cagaragesales.. you might wanna skip the pips step lol.. i was left wanting a more solid inverted rubber. Ideally, i want to get Narucross EX HARD but i can't swing that much yet. Going back to BW2 again now. I just like that stuff a lot. I might try H3 tuned 38 once i can afford it... I just cant get over the softness of the 37.

The biggest FL handle is in hk05. Also better quality outerplys. Better smashing drive performance.
The main difference in hk05, it is the handle does not get so thin going to the neck. what it is very good getting an awsome fl handle.
In hk07 there are different handle thickness. Some hk07 have thinner handle than others. The thicker handles in hk07 are similar to hk05 but got thinner going to the neck. there are also hk07 with quite thin fl handle.
