Post any HOT DEALS or GREAT SPECIALS on table tennis equipment in this thread here!

This thread was a popular idea (thanks stan1551!), in the forum suggestions thread, and I've (finallyEmbarrassed) got around to implimenting it. It will remain stickied at the top of this section, to make it easy to find.

Note: This thread is for genuine bargains or great specials only. It is NOT to be used as a free advertising section for your own (or friend's) gear, NOR should it be used by retailers to promote their goods.

Thank you, haggisv for implementing this....

Folks, I guess we are not talking $2000 savings here I managed to get using my friends tips in the similar section on another forum (not table tennis related), but let's see what we can get.

The Stiga Super Carbon WRB blade on bribartt.com costs 20 pounds, where shipped to US including exchange rates, shipping, handling and credit card fees costs just under $40 (I have ordered one and calculated all fees). Not bad for a blade that paddlepalace.com is selling for $97! It is advertised at that price for at least 4 months now, so it does not seem to be a limited time deal (although they could have limited stock now, who knows)...

Link: http://www.bribartt.co.uk/xtcommerce/product_info.php?info=p7_STIGA-SUPER-CARBON.html - http://www.bribartt.co.uk/xtcommerce/product_info.php?info=p7_STIGA-SUPER-CARBON.html

PS: Please do not shoot the messenger, many people may argue about this blade and its virtues... I for one know a hitter/blocker rated over 2000 in our club that uses this blade and makes the most out of it, but rarely loops with it...

Compared to others in Sweden, they do have good prices, but compared to other internet shops, they simple can't compete.

ttex.se used to have some really good deals on Stiga blades and DrNeubauer blades last year, some of 'em are the cheapest among all the internet retailers that I dealed with. However, they have increased their prices this year, and I can no longer find any blade or rubber that is sold cheaper compared to other retailers.

Butterfly online has two blades for what I believe a good price:

http://www.butterflyonline.com/online_store_productcloseup.asp?page=search.asp&srch=jonyer&type=1&ID=13 - Butterfly Jonyer AN for $35

http://www.butterflyonline.com/bargain_buys.asp?type=shakehand_blades - Butterfly Oh Sang Eun (ST and AN) for $40

The Jonyer may be a good blade to pick up even for your collection, since it is rumored that its production has stopped. But a good blade nevertheless and for the price a very good one.

The Oh Sang Eun is rumored as a bit thinner (.2mm), softer, slower and lighter version of the Korbel, although probably very little difference. For $40 it seems to me like a good deal (usually I believe sells for $65 in US, and at $40 you cannot find it lower even elsewhere), even if you were planning to buy the $47 Korbel (which used to cost $45 and then $55 some time ago, again in the US).

Caveat: Shipping is free with order >= $50 (there is a "service charge" for orders under $50), so you will have to order something together with either blade. Maybe both blades?! LOL

PS: Since I do not think these prices will last for long, whoever notices first, please do post an update.

Presports.com have just put up the prices for the new Timo Boll Blades and they are very cheap. 69.30 for a Timo Boll ALC blade. Tees Sport have the same blade for 84.99 shipped. The rest of the series offer similar (larger even) savings.

Of course don't forget that graetzch here on the forums does the Timo Boll Series for similar prices to Presports.

I have two on the way! Yes it's a bargain if you ask me. Here it costs over 65 (86$) so i got two for the price of one plus free shipping! They should be here next week. ST is out of stock, they only have AN on sale, and FL at regular price.

They also have Clearfield at 35$, i don't know a lot about the blade but it seems a good price.

I guess that they have international version (not the chinese domestic version). So there is no hardness showed in the back of rubber. With the internation version, the price could be from $17.50 to $19.50 plus shipping from HongKong (Note: even shipping from HongKong, the shipping cost is cheaper than from tabletennisonly Ouch)

This is not so,the old price of this blade was never $100.00  there is as you claim a 50% sale  yet it is advertised as  and I quote "reduced to $50,00

that blade sells for around $70.00 therefore a 50% sale should see it being sold somewhere in the thirty - thirty five dollar range

not trying to start an argument, but i'm just stating it as i see it "All http://ttpioneers.ping-pong.com/Brand.php?BrandID=28 - STIGA pro line products, http://ttpioneers.ping-pong.com/ProductList.php?ProductBrand=28&ProductCoarseCategory=19 - Rubber , http://ttpioneers.ping-pong.com/ProductList.php?ProductBrand=28&ProductMediumCategory=3 - blades , http://ttpioneers.ping-pong.com/ProductList.php?ProductBrand=28&ProductCoarseCategory=6 - clothing , http://ttpioneers.ping-pong.com/ProductList.php?ProductBrand=28&ProductMediumCategory=37 - shoes , accessories at 50% off!". If you check their prices, stiga products are ALL indeed 50% off of their original price as advertised...so what are u arguing about?

Similarly, shipping and handling are always added separately for every online store so what are you complaining about?...

Posted By: haggisv
Date Posted: 01/28/2010 at 7:43pm
Not worth arguing about guys... the topic is Hot Deals / Great Specials which is always a matter of opinion I know, so we'll let people here decide for themselves.

As long as this thread does not turn into an promotion section for shops with their regular special, it's not a big deal...

Some of us have our eyes set on purchasing items that interest us.so after an advertisment appears that specifically says  50% on all stiga the brain tells me it is time to shop, however on entering the internet store ,clicking on the desired itemonly to find the discount is 30% it I say is mislesding advertisment thats all .It is a gimick

Some Stiga items have been reduced by 50% but I take the sentence to mean ALL stiga items as i did not see the word SOME in the advertising sentence

This site has great deals on palio equipment.... I have a few blades from ttarmory and they compare with my favorite butterfly blades. The rubbers are inexpensive and of great quality, I would say the european ones are great for euro loopers or chopping, the harder sponge chinese rubbers are great for flat hitting and all-around play. I have had a super good experience

Donic Persson Dotec Carbokev

One of the great carbon / kevlar blades is apparently been discontinued.  Selling at about $65 at many dealers.  This blade is  OFF plus, light  and is comparable to TBS, Viscaria.  Great control, good with tenergy,& hurricane, good dwell time for looping, good for blocking.   Caveat - the handle system is weak, comes loose and may crack.  I've had 2 blades fail at the handle, but I repaired both.  Get one before they are gone.

the donic dotec carbokev can handle the fastest rubbers with excellent control.  No reason to go slow rubbers.
A monster combination is Tibhar genius +optimum  bh and Tibhar nianmor fh.  I personally like soft and medium hard sponge rubbers with this blade.

darn it! I bought 2 Tibhar Aurus from Dandoy yesterday and I would have saved $7 buying from that store. The Baracuda at $30 is sure a hot deal!
YEO for $32, and Boost TS for $28 is an awesome deal for sure.

Is YEO have JTTAA mark?

Rakza 7 for $32 at tabletennis11.com. Limited thickness and colors but great price.

I received notification of shipment in a few hours from payment. They answered a question of mine within an hour after the sale. This is m-u-c-h better than Dandoy. Hopefully the equipment I received is up to snuff. If so, I will highly recommend this Estonia based dealer for selection and price.

Is YEO have JTTAA mark?

The YEO I purchaed from tt11.com did not have the JTTAA mark.

Is that mark significant?  I know many players prefer to see it on their blades.  Though I am quite sure all Yasaka blades made at  http://www.woodhouse.se - Woodhouse.se are of the same quality.

regular moon and sun typically sell for $13-16

moon pro and sun pro usually sell near $30 (so $16 is a great price, i checked ebay and found $27 to be the lowest atm)

There should not by that much difference in price... if there is, they're cashing in on the "provincial" tag. I can see no difference in quality between the regular and provincial (maon difference is that the provincials are a little tacky), but the manufacturer charges only a few dollars more for the so-called provincial version, so the retail prices should reflect this too.

Now back on topic haggisv Embarrassed
