Thanks for making this video. It's sad this thread went unnoticed and 90% of all threads are like

"how does Rubber perform??? review pls"

when these drills are what we should actually be working on to improve our game.

-------------
How to play Table Tennis:
#1. Be Chinese (Ethnicity)
#2. Be Chinese(Citizenship)
#3. BE CHINESE(In Heart, Mind and Spirit)
#4: Get a Chinese Coach
#5. Get a Chinese Forehand Rubber (Black)

Nice video overall. I like the side stepping or shuffle step drill. However, most of the other drills are more soccer or basketball oriented. They maybe good for overall conditioning, for example how many time can you imagine getting down to the floor like touching the cone and back up would help in a tabletennis game.
Some of the drills are perfect for footwork though.

There are many cases in table tennis where you have to get very low (see photo below). It becomes much more difficult to maintain balance and have an explosive recovery when moving to such an extreme position. Practicing keeping the weight balanced over your foot and using the balls of your feet to recover explosively are key skills to stabilize your footwork.

Its not about touching the cone, but it is about pushing out to reach, and pulling your body weight back to balance. This is extremely important and can help make your legs become like true springs, then oppose to just reaching with your hands.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with bending and touching the cones.

Any good training regime should take you beyond what is required in game play for any sport.

Thanks for sharing these routines...

RUSSIAN's TRAINING KNOW-HOW,

Mike Ferdman, a table tennis coach of Russia, has had his young pupils punching the bag, to enhance the specific anaerobic capacity.
Even little gals would do the punching drills as well.
The result was that Mike's daughter Tatiana 18yo., had won a gold medal at the Delhi mondials in the year 1975.
She looked like a real amazon warrior then, as having sturdy legs and torso, Neither was she exhausted after any prolonged matches.
