after you get your rubber sheet, how do you put it on your paddle? My coach said not to use speedglue, so what do I use? I dont want any of that rubber cement crap. Also, how do you cut it? You first glue it on the paddle, then use a razor?

You use rubber cement, either that or some of the non-speedglues of the major companies. But they're a ripoff just like the speedglues they sell are.

you should check out cole_ely's site, it has everything you need to know when you are gluing

I use non speedglue, then a razor. I have tried using speedglue, but I cant get the rubber to stick properly. Besides, if you speedglue before you cut, you are risking cutting the rubber to small.

Please, do yourself a favour and get a coach. It is almost impossible to advance to any sort of prowness without one.

reccommend you put glue on the bat only best test rubber cement let dry then apply rubber to blade roll rubber the cut with exacto nife.after finish cutting remove rubber from blade sometimes thee is a bit of glue residue on rubber remove it then apply 2-3 coats of speed glue to rubber  and one coat to bat (only if you speed glue )otherwise only one coat of rubber cement to each wood and bat then attach rubber to blade.repeat tis for the other side this way the rubber never stretches before cutting.

I am not trying to give you a hard time, but it is easier if someone shows you what to do.  Are you saying that your grandad cant show you how to do it?

Well, it certainly is a rarity to see a 2100 guy who doesn't know how to glue his equipment together. I mean even 10 yr olds have been doing it for themselves for years.

I use an exacto knife, but it can be hard to make perfect edges sometimes (on the part where you lift the blade). I guess if you cut the whole thing with one stroke it should be a pretty nice cut.

Cole_ely recommends soapy water on your scissors when cutting. http://www.colestt.com/howto.php - www.colestt.com/howto.php

man if your coach charge you just to put your rubbers on your blade, you might want to find another coach.
