When I am playing with 2.mm, I can feel and hear the crispy sound. After I switched to 2.3mm, I cannot hear the same sound any more. It's said 2.3mm is better for 40mm ball. Comments? What the thickness do the pro prefer? |

with 2.0 it is easier to get click... 2.3 demands more speed-glue, but you will get more feeling if you glue it some more layers and go with the max... most pro players use max and then use like 1 l of glue on them!! |

2.0 is better for hitting than max, and max is better for looping...

"When I am playing with 2.mm, I can feel and hear the crispy sound. After I switched to 2.3mm, I cannot hear the same sound any more. " I agreed with you. Currently I use Sriver 1.9, Sriver FX 1.9, EL 2.1 & Sriver 2.1 on forehand. I find Sriver 1.9 generate the loudness sounds among the 4, FX 1.9 wasn't that slow either. I choose 1.9 primary because extra thickness means extra rubber, extra rubber means extra weight. And I did not see 1.9 that slow or that hard to loop with |

Not extra rubber, it's extra sponge. 1.9mm is not referring to the topsheet.

how thick is MAX? I bought Yasaka Mark V max and to me, it's not that thick. H3 is already 2.15 excluding the topsheet. Bryce is also 2.1. What is MAX?

rubber+sponge should be no more than 4mm
so max is a 4 mm combination of sponge and rubber it differs from rubber to rubber. Tibhar rapid max is 2.5, andro quad max is 2.3 |

exactly therefore if the topsheet is thinner, then the max amount of sponge that can be used for a "MAX" rubber sheet is thicker. A majority of rubber sheets are around the range of 2.1-2.3 mm for the sponge. |
