Hey guys,
One of my friends is planning to get a new setup.........
ply - butterfly michael maze
fh - donic coppa x2 (platin soft)
bh  - tibhar genius
His previous setup was Schalger carbon,Mak v(FH),Donic Sonex(bh).....and it was not workin out for him as he is more of a control oriented player.........
So how does this setup sound......?
And he is gettin a coppa x2 because he liked the Coppa gold a lot but x2 is supposed to be more durable...... is this true......?Ermm
And FYI he s a forehand looper, amazing with blocks(esp on the BH) and pushes...... and would be around USATT 2200..........

Please comment !! Smile

I would go for Maze + Genius both sides. The only Donic rubber durable with me was Baracuda. Acuda S1 was a big disapointment. I can't  see X2 being so different about its durability.

The Maze blade is an excellent choice. However, you mentioned him being a control oriented player, I'm not so sure the Genius rubber falls into that category. Its not much of a soft rubber. Perhaps the Genius Sound or Genius Opt +Sound would be the softer more controllable option?

However the main concern is abt X2 platinsoft....!!! Does it play well.....? Or is X1 better ?
And how does it play on a Michael Maze?
