Wang Liqin definitely.  Just compare him with his opponent in rallies.  His shots are usually twice as fast.  It's awesome to watch.

Sorry dear, Kreanga just has " Strong loop", not "Best loop". As the criteria for best loop is not just strong but also variety of spin, spot, align with tactics and so on. So that Wangliqin is no doubt the best looper right now: he can do the slow-control loop very accurate with a great deal of different amount of spin in it; also his speed and power is unquestionable; above all, his loops are always be planned and congruent with his strategy and tactics. Don't you think?

I'm not sure I'd call what wlq does a loop most of the time.  It's more like an extremely powerful topspin drive.

I voted for bol cause I think his shots are actual true loops most of the time.  He's past him prime now, but I was thinking of rosskoph.  Also gatien?

What do you mean with the "best" loop?

The fastest, the one with most control, the most spinny...

Jan-Ove Waldner has a fantastic forehand loop!

My dear, any topspin stroke can be consider as a loop. "topspin drive" is counter-loop; Boll's "true loops" are control loop and off-bounce loop; Malin is famous with loop-kill over the table; Kreanga: counter-loop; ....

"topspin drive" is a loop at the top or before the top of the bounce, not necessarily a counter-loop.

I'd still say Kong Linghui has the best loops ever. His serves suck and he tries to not block/ hit. Either his short game is so incredible that his opponents can't attack or his attacks are pretty damn good.

for the moment wang liqin and chen qi are the best looper, really fast on both side and nice power.

but the one who impress me alot is chen qi, he is a little bit more powerfull than wang liqin and also really fast but wang liqin is the more consistent player, thats why he's the best

you're right Pad.

I just feel sorry for old heros like Kong and Waldner, they're still superior in skills and tactic but can't compete with young talents anymore. Modern tabletennis need so much speed and power!

Since when did Kong's serve suck? His serves may not be the best (Liu, Waldner, etc.), but they don't suck. Kong's loops are very smooth, but I'd say Wang Liqin has got the best overall forehand loop.

I voted for Boll, someone who actually loops and not loop-drive...but I think Maze is next on the list ^^
