Chen Qi vs Apolonia could be a good one.
Also Maze vs Legout. Both are scheduled on TV tables. Can an out-of-shape Wang Hao lose to Leung Chu Yan? |

Does anyone remember these two previously unknown players:
Apolonia Tiago
SEO Hyun Deok
???
In a couple of recent Pro Tours, these two guys came out of nowhere and beat some world highly ranked players. (I forgot whom they beat, however.)
Again these two guys came out of the Qualification Round and are ready to give some top players surprises.

I wouldn t call Tiago an unknown, he s been on the radar for a little while now, but I doubt they will overcome the seeded players, Seo could probably beat Kenta, but that s not saying too much really. Tiago verses Chen Qi will be fun to watch, but not close. |

Apolonia Tiago
SEO Hyun Deok
???
===============
I now recall these two players victims in the recent Pro tour are
WLQ (corrected, courtesy of spitfire) and Xu Xin.
===============
Now for this German Pro Tour, can
Chen Qi overcome Apolonia Tiago, and
Matsudaira Kenta overcome SEO Hyun Deok?

My memory failed me, I could not find the name of the highly ranked player that Tiago recently beat in a Pro Tour. (So, my previous post was wrong.)
I don t know why this name "Apolonia Tiago" rang a bell on me?

Thanks. I thought it was Ma Lin. I was wrong.
I knew he beat a highly ranked guy, I forgot it was WLQ.
You got much better memory than I got.

It is really bugging me keep going to Ittf retrieving pass word - seeing the same thing,
the date says yes they have started but no mention of when the will air, that is fasle and misleading.
Does anyone know how many hour to go until they start?
Please dont say tonight because we are in different parts of the world.
I WANT TO WATCH TTTTTTTTTTTT tt

damn, ignorance is bliss... but its interesting people still base their opinions on how good a player is based more on popularity rather than actual skills |

lol, Crisan lost to a way lower ranked player again, as did Kan Yo...
Also Kenta lost, no surprise, as I said. *cheers* Over rated! *clap clap clapclapclap* Over rated! Boll made it past one Korean 4-2, winning the last 2 games 15-13 and 12-10. Phew, that would have been sad if he lost in the first round. Also Korbel actually won! Beat Cheung Yuk, go him. |

SEO Hyun Deok, a Korean player of 18 years old, keeps having upsets - beating Kenta.
Next he will play Timo Boll - this opponent will be tough for the young Korean player. But I would not say he has no chance.

well its too late now, but i actually thought it would go the way it went. chen qi and seo hyun deok winning. i also thought that the upset would be kenta beating Seo and not the other way around and that tiago had a better chance of beating chen qi than kenta beating Seo |

" i also thought that the upset would be kenta beating Seo and not the other way around."
=================================
My comment:
Kenta is ranked #35.
SEO is ranked #132.
If Kenta beats SEO, that s normal outcome.
If SEO beats Kenta, then that s an upset.
So, we have an upset here.

Kenta is very, very, very, very, very over rated. This is like the 3rd straight pro tour event he s lost in the first round to a qualifier. He can hardly beat anyone in the Euro leagues, he just had a couple good showings that got him up that high but he is so over rated it s not even funny. On rating central he s ranked 166th and Seo is ranked 48th. Ittf doesn t take anything but their events into account so it s not as accurate. Also ITTF hasn t updated their rankings in over two months and taken the past 3 or 4 events into account. |

Jonan you seemed pretty worked up about it lol!
I m sure this is what the ittf is attempting to fix with all of this reform. |

Jonan is right. No upset at all. Ratings don t mean sh*t when they re not only inaccurate, but haven t been updated for 2 months.
And, I must say, very disappointing for Fukuhara Ai. She goes from omg beat 2 Chinese players to epic fail. And I thought she had a good chance against Feng Tianwei. |

Easy win for Maze won 4-1. Maze played amazing the last set. I think Maze is the best european chance in this tournament.

Well Fukuhara s loss was kinda predictable. She has always sucked against choppers. Just look at her head-to-heads against choppers : 0/5 against Kim, 1/4 against Park, 0/1 against Ishigaki/Ganina/Wu ... |

Man, all these young Koreans stepping up now taking down some vets...impressive unlike Germany thus far. Christian Suss won 12-10 in the 7th game, Baum won in 7th game then lost to Weixing, Boll had a tough match needing 6 and last 2 in deuce, Steger lost, Filus lost, as did another German. Dima has been great so far though.
Hao Shuai...that s what he does, he loses to random non-Chinese players. GO KORBEL! lol, beating Kishikawa is no little feat. |
