Liu Juan (USA) hardly plays on the world stage. She won Westchester Open twice, and will play for USA in 2020 Olympics.  She has a USATT rating of 2700, highest female player in the US.

Liu Juan is unseeded and is in position 35 of the Main Draw.
Her first opponent is a seeded player, Vivarelli Debora (ITA, with a WR of 75.)

Liu Juan won 2018 US Open, she has a World Ranking of 577.
(She hardly plays any world event, her playing level should be much better than WR 577.)

Juan Liu is USA's best player beating everyone she played at the 2nd adult national ranking tournament which included Amy Wang, Wu Yue and Lily Zhang. I don't think she'll have any problem against Debora.

Agree with that 100%, even when Debora is ranked #75.

Juan Liu wins in straight games.  Wang Chen can't do anything against Hitomi Sato.

Liu Juan's next opponent will be Sato Hitomi (WR, 17).
That will be very difficult for Liu Juan.

Match starts at 6:55 PM.
Table has not been assigned yet.

True, it will be.  However, I predict an upset.

=======================
Sato Hitomi is a very strong defensive player and can attack too.
Not sure if Liu Juan has the experience dealing with this kind opponent.
My guess is that there will be no upset.

I am with skip on this one, Juan Liu will have to show a very high level to beat Sato.  If she wins, it will be a fantastic declaration of her arrival on the international scene.

Yuan Licen lost the match in the Preliminary Round, have no idea how he got to the Main Draw.
(Not enough players in the Main Draw? So they let Yuan Licen in?)

One of the 32 seeded players (Koki Niwa?) must have canceled after the first-stage draw. To make up for this, one "lucky loser" was added to the main draw and has to play the top seed.

Greatest upset ever.
The loser in the Preliminary Round, Yuan Licen, beat the top seed, Lebesson.

Lucky loser turned into a lucky winner.

Argh! Juan Liu vs. Hitomi Sato will be one table 3. Table 1 is a China/Japan match up so I can understand. But table 2 is Yana Noskova vs. Britt Eerland. Tournament organizers gotta know there's a lot of interest in Juan Liu's match.

Too bad, but Sato was already on table 1 in the first round (someone must have overestimated Wang Chen). And Eerland beat Che Xiaoxi and deserves to be featured.

You are right, some tables show scores, some tables don't.
