	Hello all Any reviews whether pairing Diode V with Rakza 7(1.8 mm) on Fh and butterfly tackiness chop 2 (1.5mm)on the Bh will turn out to be a good setup for a player (low intermediate) willing to play defensively? How exactly would this setup turn out to be , what can be expected.Will this be a good combination? Thanks

	Based on the RevSpin review of the Diode V it is very heavy, 97g. I have a Yinhe 980 and a 980XX which are also 5 ply defense (larger head) blades and they are both 85g. Due to the larger head these blades are head heavy compared to a normal size blade. The Rakza 7 is a decent forehand rubber, but it is a tensor, so chopping with the forehand may need some feeling. I play a Hurricane 3 Neo (no boosting) on the forehand and have really good control with it. I don't know the Tackiness Chop with 1.5mm sponge but in my experience 1mm sponge is enough (on several long pips rubbers e.g. Nittaku Wallest, Neottec Tokkan, etc.). If you are a beginner it may be better to start with normal rubbers and learn the basic techniques (f/h and b/h topspin , block; and serving) as the long pips techniques are very unique (and different close to the table and away from the table). So if I had to bring someone up as a modern defender, I would first go through the basic techniques at YouTube YangYang TT with a allround 5-ply Limba top racket (e.g. Yasaka Sweden Classic) and then put on the long pips on one side on that racket later. You will need the std. techniques anyway when you start twiddling (i.e. play the Rakza 7 on the backhand). So you will need 2 sets of techniques when you twiddle, and they are different from each other (inverted vs. long pips techniques). The 1mm sponge long pips still need a different technique from the inverted tacky rubbers. On the other hand you can start with the defender setup and see whether you like it. At AliExpress this would be <$60 total. E.g. Yinhe 980 Hurricane 3 Neo, 39 degree forehand BH RITC 729 755 Mystery III LP Red, 1.0mm, H38 --or-- Dawei 388D-1, 0.8mm backhand The 980XX is much nicer but right now is $85 by itself. Also I playe a flared handle, apparently some defenders play straight for easier twiddling.
