The shortest but the most interesting in my opinion - Timo Boll-Chen Weixing:

wondering no one posted after this match? even though i cheered for Duesseldorf, i had hoped for a closer game resulting in a more interesting re-match.

results:
Boll - Smirnov 3:1 (12:10, 11:4, 11:13, 16:14)
Baum - Ovtcharov 3:1 (8:11, 11:5, 11:9, 11:9)
Suss - Samsonov 3:1 (12:10, 11:7, 3:11, 11:5)

its not surprising no one comments on this match, its such a "low level" of play which is not up to the standards of the many table tennis analists and experts Wink for me its not a surprise dusseldorf won this match, but it is surprising they won so "easily" baum beating octcharov and suss beating samsonov although not impossible results are still very unlikely... i cant see orenburg turning this game around in 2nd leg

I didn't comment because it's a video thread and some people always go crazy about others "spoiling" their viewing pleasure...

Suss was really impressive, very agile and quick.

what i dont understand is why orenburg played with their best player samsonov at nr 3 position... i mean, were they expecting to win 3-0? or that smirnov or ovtcharov would have more chance to beat boll than samsonov? weird...

I think they hoped that both smirnov and ovtcharov will beat baum or suss(as they didn't know which one was going to be nr.3) and the samsonov will for sure give the thrid point against the third number of dusseldorf

Thanks for the videos.

Fans weren't too glad to see Schlager win? Is the other team local or something?

Schlager and Kreanga always have exciting extended exchanges when they play one another. They often are not able to play in similar fashion against the top Chinese players, who are so good at not letting them spread their wings and start looping from both sides, and ending exchanges quickly. What are the Chinese players doing differently that is so effective at shutting them down?
