To ensure that i dont get that unsightly edge of my rubber overhanging the lip of my blade after re-glueing (where the spong obviously expands) . . . does anyone have any tips. Recently cut a new sponge to my blade having used a glue sheet to adhere it to my bat. I then removed, used normal Tibhar glue on the blade/rubber, applied then had a 2mm overhang around the top of the blade.
Should I have primed the rubber from new with so many layers of glue, and the applied to the blade, then cut?
If so how many layers.
Also if using speed glue, should i apply so many coats of normal glue, let dry, then start applying speed glue?
I dont suppose the overhang matters, but i take such care in making my set up look nice . . . its a shame to have it looking shabby!!!!
Thanks for your help in advance.
