i did two of those already, and im pretty good with wood. the one you see in the pic is my first one, and my second was the clipper. it didnt turn out as well because the wrb was so high on the handle, but i can probably fix it up more. they both play well [for me lol] maybe im the first v-grip user that has a one ply blade lol. and yea.. pics plz

Wow...more and more one plyers here. Good. Congrats to theman and everest on your new blade. I understand from jossix that his Hinoki Shake plays very well too.

Cheers.

I couldn't find it. Anyhow I think shaving the blade is very personal, my shaving might not be suitable for you.
Everest81, You must be looking at your blade frequently as I am doing now with my new bladeSmile

lol, ya i am hesitant to shave off the handle and try it out right now, i will let it be like it for a while and take a peek before going to bed each night
As u can see i have a sinus max ready waiting for it but my heart is not ready to use it yet, plus for personal reasons i wont be able to see a table tennis table in for few weeks so might as well keep the blade as it is, and secondly i dont want to mess up my prep for US open, will most likely use nittaku + sinus so want to keep that feeling going..

Hai Everybody, what rubber does single ply hinoki more suitable to play with?
Is it medium, soft or hard rubbers? Chinese or JPN/GER rubber more suitable?

I was happy with Desto F1 (I don't like F2 or F3), but lately I tried Coppa JO Gold, and I think this one is slightly better than F1.

Personally, I love the Tenergy 05 on my Nittaku. I am expecting a couple of new blades to arrive in a couple of days. I intend to use the Bryce FX Powersponge on one of them. I have used this Bryce FX on my Senkoh 95 before and I like it as well. Looks like I like fast powerful rubber on my hinoki.

I recently tried DHS H3, Friendship 729 and Solcion. Don't like any of them.

Cheers.

Thanks for your input Fattchoi Smile, I'll try my provincial H3 on it then. H3 Commercial is heavy and harder. Solcion maybe too soft for Hinoki blades.

So GenomicsKnight is only the CEO in this thread? Anyway, I wonder if he is a TT blade seller or collector. I think the CEO position should goes to the blade collector kind of person.

My friend at the club is using Hurricane 3 Provincial on his darker speed 90 cpen and liking it. He tried F3 too but didn't like it as much as the H3P.

I don't think you will find any of those to better your speed90. Just save the money up to get a second speed90 insteadBig%20smile

Honestly, it is just my perception. The real proof for myself is when I actually get a hold of a darker blade. Unfortunately, the ones I want are now out of stock at the moment. Anyway, I simply judge the speed90 to be better just from all those pictures of consistent beauty from all those owners of the blades. I have so far not seen a single speed90 that looks different. In other words, all of them have nice long straight even grains. I have not seen yours but I pretty much can guess it is the same. The same cannot be said for butterfly blades which I have myself have gone through a few. One blade can look so different from another of the same model. So really, I believe the QC of the speed90 is certainly much higher than just about any other brands that I have seen so far. In that respect, one can say the quality of the speed90 is certainly consistently high. The same cannot be said for most other brands.

I hope my counsel can help control your HJ virus a bit. If not, what the heck, go for itLOLLOLLOL

Cheers.
