I'm trying to see how many members in here use Xiom Blades and Rubbers...
I know it's pretty broad, but I don't think there will be too many users..
Thanks

Current Blade: XIOM Amadeus ST 88g
I have used Power 1, Control 3, Maximus (1 year) and Stradivarius in the past. I'm sticking with the Amadeus for the foreseeable future. Great blade! |

TheNAM - I only used those other blades in the past and have sold them all on (apart from the Maximus) and so I don't think you can say that I use them!
Thanks! |

I have been playing with Tenergy 05 on my forehand for around a month now and I have to say that I am impressed! Tenergy 05 is relatively high throw and has a wide range of gears. It is good for generating spinny opening loops at the table although I have found it necessary to open the blade slightly which is counter-intuitive for a high throw rubber. You just have to be careful when using the grippiness of the topsheet for opening up, i.e. you need to commit to the shot and not fall into a lazy half spin-up/half drive type of shot as that will go longer than most typical Japanese/German rubbers. A slight change in angle/technique is also required against chop - a slightly more open angle and then a sharp, compact loop stroke going through the ball will be rewarded. Despite it's fairly grippy topsheet, it is not really a brush looping rubber. To get the most from Tenergy 05 you have to get into the sponge. On controlled shots (70-80% power) Tenergy 05 has excellent control, and then when you crank the power and the hand speed up and get deeper into the sponge it begins to really fly. While the sponge is harder than quite a few "i can't believe it's not speed glue" rubbers, it isn't that hard, nor is it that heavy (despite what some posters might suggest!). I'm using a XIOM Amadeus at the moment and loving it. It's an OFF- 7-ply with Hinoki outer plies - and the combination of Tenergy 05 and the softer Hinoki works very well. I would suggest that Tenergy 05 and a hard, fast carbon blade is only for those with VERY good hands! |

I have Ignito, Amadeus, Aria, Fuga, & Jazz.
Currently trying Fuga but have been distracted with several blade while I'm at it so I'm getting mixed up at the moment. It's taking so long with Fuga because of that. Rubber: Zeta, but have not played with it. Planning to try it only after I'm done with Jazz... Otherwise it keeps dragging on and on... |

Omega 2 Euro is a nice soft rubber that works extremely well on my BH. Its surprisingly grippy and for some reason, it doesn't exhibit the normal POP with short balls when used on the strad. I have yet to try the Omega 3 on the Strad but I assure you once I can find somewhere that sells it significantly cheaper that the overpriced mofo here in Aus I will do so :) |

Last year I have Xiom Stradivarius, and its a high quality blade with good looping performance. But, I sold it because of his small handle.

Hi, Rene.
Add me up with Maximus, Ovid, Fuga, Aria, & O1/2/3(Euro), TI.
Oh, I almost forgot the Amati Off. And an Amadeus will be joining my collection in a couple of days.
