Jun seriously lacks power compared to WLQ.  I think he should start physical training/conditioning like WLQ Smile

Oh and Fixpoint you're the man!

Mizutani should have beaten Ko Lai Chak,  he won the first game in dominating fashion then he seemed to get so nervous and was very hesitant on his shots.

Fixpoint,  any chance you have the Women's final?  thanks

You are right. If Shanghai wins the next team match, Shanghai is the champion.

And, they will play against Zhejgian team again?

Look at the the Fixpoint's post... He said that they will play the second match on the 20th and if Zhejiang wins, they will play again.

China Super League continues, at last! :D

Go Ma Lin!

And who is now this Cui Qinglei?? Zhang Jike has barely won against him. There are so many excellent players in China. For me, this Super League is more entertaining to watch than Tournament of champions.

Again, thank you Fixpoint!!!

Often it is necessary for someone to send the results to ratings central, they don't automatically process all matches, but if results are sent in they will process them.

That's true. The ITTF ratings are definitely missing many important matches. It doesn't seem like the Chinese TT Super League is being recorded on the women's side though.

That shows that people are using undetectable booster/tuner/optimizer/enhancer. The sponge may swell too much making the rubber too thick.

I'm not passing judgment here. Just pointing out reality.

I meant world ranking as of Dec 2008:
http://www.ittfranking.com/gen/world/worldM_en100.htm

Zhang #51
http://www.ittfranking.com/cgi-bin/ttplayer.cgi?number=110553&lang=0&format=summary

MJ #29
http://www.ittfranking.com/cgi-bin/ttplayer.cgi?number=106195&lang=0&format=summary

The statistics show Zhang as having a higher win rating. But MJ has played a lot more matches since Dec 07.  After carefully watching the match I have to agree his racket WAS giving him problems, but it is his (and his coach) responsibility for his setup to be legal...and just because his setup was not allowed, it doesn't mean he should have won automatically had he HAD his #1 setup. If you watch the match, he gets A LOT of winners with his borrowed setup. Where it failed him was in the short game IMO.

He probably lost because he LOST.Angry
Whether it was rubber too thick, not having a backup setup, borrowing, MJ winning the match...it does not make any difference.
He lost because he did not win. It is black and white. There is no gray.

They are both talented players. I think technically Zhang is better at execution than he is at strategy. MJ has more experience and is rated higher and is more strategic. Once Zhang gets more wins and more experience, MJ will have to up his level to keep winning against Zhang. Just my opinion here.

Childish to start flaming over this kind of stuff. LOL
